PROTEST? WHAT PROTEST

Can't believe we're not even trying to sign Chris Eagles?

A bargain surely!

If DM is waiting to sell before he buys, it could all be too late!

ditton - I don't think Moyes is 'waiting' to sell before buying, rather being FORCED to sell before buying. Big difference - one is a choice, the other not.

So the drop in season ticket sales is a protest is it? Nothing to do with the economic crisis? How can anyone respect a protestor who doesn't even show up?! For a start, you are depriving the club of money...which goes against your whole philosophy doesn't it? Get your bloody scarf on and get behind the lads.

On a side-note, you're right about the shirts. That is an effing joke

" How can anyone respect a protestor who doesn't even show up?! For a start, you are depriving the club of money..."

What's that supposed to mean, Phil?

Are we a registered charity these days?

phil,
Did the economic crisis only start last May?

I would be surprised if more than 10% of the suggested 2,500 were due to protests!

Rising costs of living coupled with the fact that season tickets for last year were already purchased. For us out of town fans, well times are hard. If only I could his walk up on match day that would make me appreciate the tough times faced

On a side note. Looks like this mass protest for non season ticket renewal managed to be a success without any backing from The Peoples Group, Evertonians 4 Chang and KEIOC.

Wonder what would happen if the three mentioned arranged a protest?

Are we aware if any other Premiership club`s season ticket sales are down10%?

Or is the economic crisis only happening in L4.

I wouldn't know, I'm not local

Sure you cab find ST dales at other clubs if you look hard enough

posted on 24/7/11

I dont have to look,i know the answer,as indeed you do.

posted on 24/7/11

What is the answer? You can't just assume you are right, I would like to see what Bolton, Spurs, Sunderland and Blackburn ST sales are like in comparison. Or are they not protesting? Still would say attendances will be very similar next season in comparison to the previous 5 years.

posted on 24/7/11

Spurs sell every season ticket available,in fact they have a rather large waiting list.

If you can assume only 10% of the 2,500 not renewing is due to protest,i feel quite comfortable assuming no other Premiership club has a fall of our magnitude in season ticket sales.

Why dont you look it up,i will be very happy to be proved wrong.

posted on 24/7/11

I never assumed 10%, I said I would be surprised try to keep up.

I you know the Spurs figures, you should be able to provide other comparisons to teams with similar ground and attendance figures.

Anyway, let's not move away from the real issue of a protest. The reasonable question is. Do you think a number of the reported 2,500 ST protestors will arrange a vocal match day protest at the first home game?

A banner outside, a march?

Something to get on MOTD or Soccer Saturday?

posted on 24/7/11

I dont think they will.
They wont be there.Try to keep up.

posted on 24/7/11

Phew, I won't have such a long wait at the chippy then

posted on 24/7/11

I am arranging a turn up at the first home game support protest. Bet that's better attended than the other protests that are going to be staged

posted on 24/7/11

It`s ba wonder you can afford the chippy.
The local economic crisis has obviously not affected you.

PJS, in one of your posts on one of the threads (I can't remember which) you alluded to the supposition that BK wasn't the cause of the mess.

There is NOT a subtle difference between responsibility and accountability, and BK is accountable in my opinion.
