Totally agree with you JHDO, Rodger's still yet to win me over with his style of management. Our play is not too different to last season. Unable to close a game out and BR looks very disinterested at times.

So your expecting to win the Europa cup then to qualify for Europe?

posted on 22/11/12

Absolutely. We are going to finish 10th-12th and the Ch @v$ will win the FA Cup again with Rafa in charge.

Why don't you ever comment when Liverpool win 18+5.
Just stop pretending to be a Liverpool fan, you fool nobody.

Most of the team played quite well Jimmy. Just a case of a couple of errors costing us the win. Certainly nothing to bring on the hysteria that some are showing...

Hendo was poor at RB.
Joe Cole had a great game
I'm scared he might get a proper game now.

Lucas. In fairness to Hendo, he was playing well in CM, before getting switched to RB...

posted on 22/11/12

Yeah, he was.
Never again do i ever want to see him at RB again though, his positioning was terrible.

What do we all think of Pepe's performance?
I thought his kicking and overall game was poor today.

I watched the game and I don't see how they bottled it OP. We pushed forward for the whole game and if anything we attacked too much with Downing and Hendo leaving the CBs exposed.

Your point about European football doesn't hold water either. That will be down more to where we finish in the League. It's very unlikely we will win this competition with the overall lack of quality in the squad.

You talk about signing Downing and Hendo but it wasn't the manager that signed them, you will need to judge him on the signing he makes and the money that FSG are prepared to give him.

Apart from that your article is spot on.

Hendo was def at fault for their first goal.

As for Reina, I mentioned during the game that he didn't look any more solid than before he was injured. He just doesn't inspire confidence anymore. You do see it a lot with keepers, once they lose it, they sometimes struggle to ever get it back. Just hope this isn't the case with Pepe...

Reina spent most of the game flapping and missing crosses and then let a powerful shot that was straight at him in. He should be saving it, no excuses.

Hendo was partially at fault for the first goal. As BR likes the fullbacks to push up he was caught out. The defensive midfielder is the one who is supposed to fill those gaps and that's why Lucas is so important to us and is missed

Also I think BR could have bought on Allen towards the end for Sahin to add a bit of solidity to the midfield.

Brad would have saved the second goal.

posted on 22/11/12

Think it's a bit harsh to blame him for their second. It was really shifting, and I'm sure there was either a deflection or big swerve on it. He could of been unsighted by two defenders also...

Term, that last comment is plain ol bullox.
Pepe was beaten fair and square, dont make excuses for him

Naive about nativity?..........don't tell em about Santa, whatever you do.

Every player played well except for Reina. He had a bad game. Should have saved the second which was straight at him and was dropping shots all game. Henderson made a silly error for the first goal but played very well before moving to right back and should have scored. Bringing on Suarez turned out to be a mistake as he didn't hold the ball up when we needed to slow down and control the game, instead preferring to dribble it which meant the ball came back at us and late on one of this dribbles cost us.

The team played well but we had to control the game at the end and be more patient.
