it will be held at Wembley (not the football stadium!), I wanted to go, applied for tickets and well lets not go there...
I understand they'll take place at Wembley Arena.
It was orginally planned to be held at a temporary venue in Greenwich but Wembley Arena became available after the bid phase and was hence selected as the most suitable location.
Same place the 2011 World Badminton Championships will take place later this year in August.
I applied for a rake of olympic tickets and got nada. I'm gonna stay at home and practise my badger baiting instead. i might even hold a tournament in my local woods so if any of you fancy it you're more than welcome. You'll have to bring your own shovels though.
Oh and for the guy who wanted a ticket for the badminton - hard lines but you're not really missing anything. Since Gail Emms retired it ain't wirth watching.
