Well the Club World Championship is on the same level as the Johnstone's Paint Trophy so I doubt he'll lose any sleep
"Well the Club World Championship is on the same level as the Johnstone's Paint Trophy"
That explains why Fergie's got his knickers in a twist about Rafa potentially winning it twice .
Yeah that must be it OP
Well done
26 years and you still let Sir Alex wind you up
Class
On that basis Macca, is Fergie wound up by Rafa then?
yeah, i bet he's gutted rafa could have 2 of them, without doing anything.
i bet fergie would swap those for his shed load of championship success's
5X
He's Chelsea's manager, not Liverpool's
Why are you honestly that bothered
Rafa and Sir Alex have previous and I'm actually looking forward to seeing them lock horns again
Just another challenge to Sir Alex that isn't as big as having to cope with City and their billions
Think about it and stop letting Fergie wind u up.
Not many managers have had such a big rivalry with Fergie over the years. Wenger and Mourinho are two others and Dalglish of course.
Ill be an interested spectator. But Rodgers is our man and I'd rather him than Rafa at the helm.
"Ferguson said: "On his CV he could have two world championships and nothing to do with the construction of the teams."
"Ferguson added: "Rafael Benitez is very lucky. Jose Mourinho won the treble at Inter; Rafa took over and they won the world title without having to do anything."
He sounds quite upset to me.
Then there's this about Clattenberg;
""I didn't believe it anyway," Ferguson said. "The unfortunate thing for Mark is he's had to carry that stain for the last few weeks and everyone in the game is pleased for him now, apart from Chelsea."
I take it he expressed the same sentiments to the Chelsea groundsman Phelan and his GK coach wrongly accused of making racist remarks?
He sounds quite upset to me.
..............................
For someone suffering from such emotional turbulence he held himself together quite well and represented the facts in an easy to understand and factual manner.
I am going to go out on a limb here and say he isn't really that upset...

What? For making perfect sense?
You're being ridiculous.
If you think the WCC is a priority of Sir Alex then you're sadly mistaken
As for the Clattenburg thing, Chelsea acted like prats but you are somehow using it to have a go at Sir Alex?
Why not have a go at Chelsea for it rather than Sir Alex
because now the fat waiter has taken over at chelsea, it seems most dippers are taking them up as their "second team"
I have just read Ferguson comments on Benitez becoming Chelsea manager, well I never how bitter can a manager be, no wonder Ferguson is disliked in a big way
huh?? sorry, dont understand the language of which you speak

I'll remember that the next time someone mentions Rafa and his 'rant'. If he's not upset why mention it at all?
Duncan Edwards
He did have to do something though, didn't he. He had to pick the team and implement his tactics. It's like saying Rodgers didn't have to do anything if we were to win The FA Cup this season.

You don't think it's hypocritical Fergie getting on his high horse about Chelsea? He didn't condemn Phelan and your GK coach when their evidence was found to be a pack of lies. Given what went on with members of his staff it'd be wise if he kept quiet. Don't you think?
it's a meaningless tin pot
I don't think he cares.
He just doesn't like a manager who doesn't lick his toes like the rest of them.
, Good god, your Man U supporter so I don't expect anything else, it shows anybody who has there opinion is a blithering idiot never mind eh

Yeah like Wenger, Mourinho, Carlo Ancelotti... ect.
Ohh, no wait a second none of those ever did.... must just be that Rafa is a bit of an idiot.

Wasn;t proved, doesn't mean it was a pack of lies
It's the Charity Shield of international football, I doubt Fergie is going to lose any sleep over it. It's just the usual stuff with him, Rafa has put himself in a position where he's a rival (Chelsea are within 3 points of Man U after all) so he gets the treatment.
I can't remember who it was who said it but they made the point that if Fergies being offensive to you then in a way it's a compliment because it means your team's a threat, if he's being gracious then he doesn't consider you a threat so it's not necessarily a good position (hence why the vitriol with Wenger has been toned down these days). The exception to this of course is where Liverpool are concerned, all bets are off there regardless of the gap between them and Man U.

Ok
You said Sir Alex is bitter
Please tell me what it is about Rafa getting the Chelsea job that has made him bitter?
Remember, you were the one who made the statement so vack it up with something factual
Fergie and his "genius mind games"
I'm sure Rafa and Chelsea are flummoxed by the genius of it.

Jesus Sir Alex has got u lot wound up again. Pretty funny really
Quite funny how Man Utd fans are now calling the WCC the charity shield of international club football. I'm pretty sure they always boast about it in debates about who has most trophies between out clubs.
