I wouldn't blame Robinson too much for the results during his tenure. The Tonga game was a classic example of players simply not having the right mentality at key moments. They are to blame. Simply amateur execution at key moments by Scotland when within in easy try scoring opportunity. This sums up Scotland over the last decade. He just didn't have the quality within the squad at all.

I guess it was inevitable really, but I'm not sure it really helps Scottish rugby, that seems totally directionless at the moment. It needs strong men with vision at the top of the union, as manager and on the field, right now I don't think Scotland have any of them and its hard to see where they are coming from too

I'm still not sure about Andy Robinson...you read the autobiographies of players who worked with him and they're very split on their opinion of his abilities.

I definitely got the feeling he was a top second in command more so than a born top coach.
