There is a trend of thinking that if you are young and half decent and play for Arsenal that makes you for some strange reason a fabulous, fabulous player. Wilshere is not a bad player but he is nowhere near the level that some seem to think.

As it currently stands I don't think he would even make it into the 'Top Ten' best Premier League midfielders.

Maybe his future lies at Barcelona where he can continue to learn off Fabregas. This incidently, should be no problem as Arsenal seem to have a deal in place to let their best talents move to Spain.

So one Liverpool wum (aren't they all) calls the possibly the best skill player England has since Scholes overrated and all Arsenal haters jump in. If most of the completely mediocre English players can be rated highly and go for prices one can usually buy small islands for, why can't a very good player be overrated a bit? Complete idiots.

He wouldn't make it in the top 10 midfielders list- yet he was in contention for the player of the year awards, topped all the young player lists, cemented his place in the England starting line-up and emerged as Arsenal's player of the season. Not to mention he'd walk into any team in the country. How did you work that out?

Tbh, I couldn't care less, how outraged you are that anyone considers Wilshere superior to your midfielders. Gerrard has been consistently poor for 2 seasons now. Anyone claiming he's currently better than Wilshere is the one who needs their head examined.
