Can't say I think Swann is even remotely jealous. Swann has been saying for years how much he likes playing with Monty and how they love to share the success they both have. Also they are life long friends having come through the ranks at Northants together. Can't see it myself.
If he is jealous (i personally don't think he is), it will only make him try harder, same goes for Monty. Competition is a good thing
Boss - I think you have misunderstood his humour.
I met my patrrnal heritage, which is Asian a few years back and it was the same then - They didn't really get my humour.
Swann was saying Panasar should be good because he practices hard. In a way he was trying to compliment him. They seem decent mates having come through the Northants system together.

Did they not like DRS then
OP
You either didn't see the whole interview, or don't understand when someone is having a laugh.
i agree to an extent....with all the KP debacle...i think the likes of swann were just jelaous....
not that KP was without blame...but swann is no lesser an egomaniac than KP...
he also likes digging out others...but is less keen to get a bit back........imo.

Kallis is far the greatest ever allrounder.
The greatest allrounders would have been in the team for their batting (if they didnt bowl or keep) and their bowling or keeping (if they didnt bat).
kallis would rarely have been in the team for his bowling.
Swann has a huge ego and is also a bit thick. Wouldn't surprise me if there was some resentment towards Monty.
no i didn't se whole piece...but its been an opinion of mine about swann for a good while...
he has an ego....
