i admire ashley cole as a footballer, he's just a massive unt
Long as it doesn't cloud your judgement of his ability then that's fair.
froch is a great fighter, one of the best britain has had in the last 20 years, probably on a par with hatton in terms of ability, its just that ricky had that special something that made everyone love him.
personality Mexicutioner! The fact he goes pubs etc and Froch doesn't seem as social
Anyways I hope more people appreciate Froch before he retires.
im sure it wont bother carl one bit tbh, true boxing fans appreciate the great things CF has done in the sport and as a notts lad myself the things he's done for nottingham sport, hope he gets his big fight with kessler at the city ground next year
Very arrogant fighter, to be fair he has proved himself against the best, but being humble may get him more fans.
i wouldnt say he's particularly arrogant, he's honest, arrogance is thinking youre a lot better than you are, i dont see CF as arrogant tbh
He comes across as arrogant on TV is my point, nothing wrong with being confident, he has every right, tbf, i never used to rate Froch, always though he was trying to be Calzaghe, but i have to admit he has won me over, he is a warrior, a proper fighter.

Froch has proved he can hang with the elite, but not dominate the elite. The super 6 fights showed me one good Froch performance and that was against Kessler, Dirrell was robbed, Taylor was gassed and an aging Abraham well....
Froch vs Dirrell 2
Froch vs Kessler 2
Win these fights Froch and maybe i will not class you as a paper champion.
The Brits are obsessed with personality: cheeky chappy wastrels like Gazza and Hatton are eulogised whilst consummate professionals like Froch and Cole are despised.
I rolled my eyes at the adulation that Hatton got when he finally called time on his career (for the second time) along with the co-inciding favourable reportage he got for going back in the ring when anyone with an IQ in double digits could see it was a grotesquely stupid decision.
He should have been rounded upon and giving a few roundhouses and not praised to the rafters as some kind of fallen hero.

If Froch really want's get the same praise as Hatton then he needs to move up to light heavy and become a 2 weight champion. A fight with Nathan Cleverley could give him that chance to create a legacy. For me he needs to beat Kessler next and then move up. He won't get Ward unless he goes back to the US.
