As much as we all like to slate it, everyone knows England is the best country in the world. There's a reason everyone comes here. And I don't mind a bit of crap weather personally.

Generally how these things work are that everyone that isn't from England says their own country is the best in the world and then everyone that is from England says somewhere else.
I moved to Canada a couple of years ago, as I grew up in Stockport you can imagine the vast difference in lifestyle.
I lived in Calgary for a year, cold?... YES! -50c one day last year which creates mini icicles on your nose hairs.
I now live in Vancouver and can safely say it is incredible, beautiful scenery with both skiing in the winter and beaches in the summer.
Would I say Canada is the best? No. It's very expensive here for a start, jobs are hard to come by (in BC) and this city is swarming with the homeless. Although, not as cold here in Van as some are made to be believe, in fact, the climate is very similar to Manchester. Lots of rain and grey clouds.

To live in Thailand if you avoid the big cities/tourist traps.
Best city where I've lived for 6 months was Italy. Was just amazing, and the women were always the greatest attraction
Funniest experience till this date in Italy was when I was in Amalfi Coast. Was doing the touristy thing, and saw this absolute stunning blonde. Perfection! Anyhoo, kept bumping into her about 4-5 times during the day and when we start talking to the locals they were like Amalfi is lovely because the snobby tourists don't venture here, but stay in an island an hour drive away, where it's like €2000 a night!
Anyways, I saw her again and this time she was with this really fat guy and I swear he had food in his beard! I was in absolute shock, but I thought 'No, don't be judgemental, she has to be with him for his personality because none of the so called 'rich' people venture over here especially at this time of the night'. So still in amazement and proud I met a solid 10 not after the money, I thought best have a look at her ass one more time before I head back to the Hotel... I turn around, only to see her step into a Ferrari heading to the rich island
croatia is a beautiful country, especially dubrovnik
Best City - Sydney by a long way.

Been watching that Michael Portillo (I know) documentary series about the great old railway journeys of Europe. Looks fun.
