Injuries I Thot were the reason?

He retired from cricket in 2009 through injuries he got through years of bowling. sadly for you, he didn't get bored, his body wouldn't let him do it anymore.

crickets a mans game , he wasnt man enough to continue

He was an embarrassment last night, worse than a school fight at 3.30pm on a tuesday afternoon.

Injuries

He wanted to a celeb more than a cricketer.

It's as simple as that. Now he's a boxer apparently

As beefy and others have pointed out, others players have played on for much longer with similar injuries to which Freddy had/has.

His choice.

Flintoffs an idiot who is obsessed with attention.

Remember his attack on Atherton? Out of your depth their Andrew.

These so-called stars that take on boxing are lucky managers can pick and choose opponents......put any sportsman in the ring with someone who has boxed for 10 years would kill him. In OZ we have had a couple of rugby league players take on boxing, their opponents have not been real handy with the gloves but they promote it as if it's a world title...$$$$

When he is fit enough to become a professional boxer, don't you think he had a chance comeback to Cricket?

I have been told in an IPL game you are not allowed to bowl more than 24 balls in a game. Besides, in those 24 balls fast bowlers do bowl some slow balls to deceive the batsmen.

Wasn't he had serious groin problems or knee injury that kept him out from playing Cricket?

He could have easily picked up by an IPL team for his batting abilities alone.

You only get x amount of overseas players and nobody would waste one on Flintoff just for his batting. You're talking about someone that bats at 7.

Perhaps, you haven't heard Bopara and Klusener were playing in IPL.
