Another thing McLeod does very well is that he's a master at block taping. He keeps them all busy. Nobody really sits idle on this show waiting for a story. The block taping allows him and his writers to keep shifting the focus, so even Robron get time off and someone like Doug learning how to dance gets the spotlight for a few episodes. A good producer puts everyone to work, making them all earn their paychecks. McLeod does this better than any other soap producer.
