Netflix will reduce the video quality on its service in Europe for the next 30 days, to reduce the strain on internet service providers.

Demand for streaming has increased because large parts of Europe are self-isolating at home due to the coronavirus outbreak,

The video-streaming provider said lowering the picture quality would reduce Netflix data consumption by 25%.

Trains operators across Britain will gradually reduce services from Monday, amid falling demand because of the coronavirus pandemic.

The government said it had agreed the plan with the rail industry to reflect the fall in passenger numbers, while keeping vital services running.

Operators will still run core services to ensure key workers can get to their jobs and the flow of goods continues.

It comes after the PM said people should avoid "non-essential" travel.

She remained popular after the war, appearing on radio and television in the UK and the US and recording such hits as "Auf Wiederseh'n Sweetheart" and her UK number one single "My Son, My Son". Her last single, "I Love This Land", was released to mark the end of the Falklands War. In 2009, at the age of 92, she became the oldest living artist to top the UK Albums Chart, with compilation album We'll Meet Again: The Very Best of Vera Lynn. Further, she released the compilation album of hits Vera Lynn 100 in 2017, to commemorate her centennial year, and it was a number-3 hit, making her the first centenarian performer to have an album in the charts.
