Albert Uderzo, who drew the Asterix comic books, has died at the age of 92.

He created the famous stories - about the adventures of Gaulish warriors fighting the Roman Empire - with his friend René Goscinny in 1959.

As well as illustrating the series, Urderzo took over the writing following Goscinny's death in 1977.

The books have sold 370 million copies worldwide, in dozens of languages, and several stories have been turned into cartoons and feature films.

The measures, announced on Monday, tell Britons to only go to work if "absolutely necessary".

But on Tuesday, Health Secretary Matt Hancock said those who cannot work from home should go to work "to keep the country running".

Labour's Jonathan Ashworth called for "clear and unambiguous advice around which workers can and can't go out".

“We are going to take care of our people. That’s our first priority,” said NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine. “Technology allows us to do a lot of what we need to do remotely, but, where hands-on work is required, it is difficult or impossible to comply with CDC guidelines while processing spaceflight hardware, and where we can’t safely do that we’re going to have to suspend work and focus on the mission critical activities.”

Whether it's called "Doritos" vape juice, nacho cheese vape juice, or some other variation, it should've never been created. Nacho cheese vape juice can easily be summed up with two descriptors: vomit and acid.

National Assembly elections were held in Bhutan for the first time on 24 March 2008. Two parties were registered by the Election Commission of Bhutan to contest the election: the Bhutan Peace and Prosperity Party (DPT, for Druk Phuensum Tshogpa), which was formed by the merger of the previously established Bhutan People's United Party and All People's Party and is led by Jigme Y. Thinley, and the People's Democratic Party (PDP). The third political party, the Bhutan National Party (BNP), had its application for the registration canceled.

Turnout reached nearly 80% by the time the polls closed, and the Bhutan Peace and Prosperity Party reportedly won 44 seats, with the People's Democratic Party winning only three seats (Phuentsholing in Chhukha, Goenkhatoe-Laya in Gasa and Sombeykha in Haa).

The boss of the Wetherspoon pub chain has said its staff can take jobs with supermarkets amid the uncertainty caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

Tim Martin told 40,000 workers in a video that they should feel free to take jobs at retailers such as Tesco while Wetherspoon pubs remain closed.

He said: “If you’re offered a job… if you think it’s a good idea, do it.”

The government has said it will pay 80% of salary for workers at firms such as Wetherspoon affected by Covid-19.

In the video, he called the government proposals “great, because we currently have no money coming in through the tills. That’s not something we had ever planned for.”

All of Wetherspoon's 850 UK pubs were closed over the weekend after the government introduced new measures to try to stop the spread of Covid-19.

British nationals unable to return home due to the coronavirus pandemic are in a "dire" situation, a former cabinet minister has warned.

Tory MP Caroline Nokes said many were stranded as countries closed their borders and airlines cancelled flights.

The government's call for people to return home as quickly as possible were like "empty words" to them, she added.

President Donald Trump’s insistence on downplaying the coronavirus risks reached dangerous levels Monday as he scoffed at medical advice and threatened to open up the economy despite skyrocketing case numbers.

At the White House’s daily coronavirus briefing, the president focused on wanting to reopen businesses very soon despite global guidance to essentially shut down societies and encourage people to stay home.

Jamie Carragher has admitted Liverpool's transfer business during his playing days left them behind the Premier League's big guns.

Liverpool spent big in the late 1990s and early 2000s, keeping the pace with the sides at the top of the division, but struggled to break into the pack of title chasing sides.

The issue, according to Carragher, was that Arsenal would nab the likes of Thierry Henry, who went on to be their top scorer ever, for £11million and spend £6m on Robert Pires. Liverpool would splash out the same on Emile Heskey and Nick Barmby respectively.

Other than a great leap and a good physique Ronaldo isn't that athletic. Literally waits on the shoulder of the last defender and barely makes any defensive efforts. If he played like Rooney, he would ha w retired 4 or 5 years ago.

The Mennonites are members of certain Christian groups belonging to the church communities of Anabaptist denominations named after Menno Simons (1496–1561) of Friesland (which today is a province of the Netherlands). Through his writings, Simons articulated and formalized the teachings of earlier Swiss founders. The early teachings of the Mennonites were founded on the belief in both the mission and ministry of Jesus, which the original Anabaptist followers held to with great conviction despite persecution by the various Roman Catholic and Protestant states. An early set of Mennonite beliefs was codified in the Dordrecht Confession of Faith in 1632,[2] but the various groups do not hold to a common confession or creed.
