Ex-Leeds United and England defender Norman Hunter remains "severely unwell" in hospital with coronavirus but is "fighting incredibly hard".
The 76-year-old, who played 726 games in 15 years at Elland Road, was admitted with Covid-19 last week.
He was a member of Sir Alf Ramsey's England squad for the 1966 World Cup and went on to win 28 caps in total.
"His family would like to thank all Leeds fans for their amazing messages and well wishes," the club said.
Partick Thistle say they will not take legal action against the SPFL's resolution to end the lower-league seasons in Scotland, despite believing they have the option to do so.
Thistle have been relegated from the Championship after Dundee's change to a 'yes' vote passed the plans.
The Glasgow club were two points adrift at the bottom, but had a game in hand over Queen of the South in ninth.
"We can't be responsible for pushing even one club to the brink," they said.
A 99-year-old war veteran has walked 100 laps of his garden to raise £16m and counting for the NHS.

But he has smashed his target after nearly 800,000 people made donations to his fundraising page.
As he finished the challenge earlier, he said: "I feel fine, I hope you're all feeling fine too."

Cars are a luxury, a home is a necessity.
Appreciate these are uncharted times and I don't want to see anyone on the breadline - but as in 2009 it appears yet again those who have no financial discipline and get themselves in over their heads are let off the hook (therefore they don't learn), whereas financially savvy go unrewarded and aren't encouraged to save further with ultra low rates to bail out the greedy.
Leeds United great Norman Hunter has died in hospital aged 76 after contracting coronavirus.
The tough-tackling centre-back, nicknamed 'Bites Yer Legs', was a key player in Leeds' most successful era.
He won two league titles during a 14-year first-team career at Elland Road, and was a non-playing member of England's 1966 World Cup-winning squad.
Hunter was admitted to hospital on 10 April after testing positive for coronavirus.
Leeds said Hunter's death leaves "a huge hole" in the family of the club.
"His legacy will never be forgotten and our thoughts are with Norman's family and friends at this very difficult time," the club said in a statement.
Hunter's reputation as a fearsome tackler was borne out by his nickname 'Bites yer legs'.
He formed a strong partnership with Jack Charlton at the back for Leeds, also adding European silverware in the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup, an FA Cup and a League Cup to his and the club's haul.
Only three Leeds players - Charlton, Billy Bremner and Paul Reaney - have made more appearances for the Whites.
Hunter also played for Bristol City and Barnsley, and then managed the Tykes along with Rotherham United.

TRIBUTES have poured in following the death of WWE icon Howard Finkel at the age of 69.
The wrestling franchise confirmed the ring announcer's death on Thursday.
Finkel first joined the World Wide Wrestling Federation, run by Vince McMahon Sr, in 1975 and was well known for his "and the new" catchphrase when announcing new champions.
Affectionately known as The Fink, he went full-time with WWWF in 1979, a year before WWE was established.
And his popularity saw him brought into the ring for unique fights in the 1990s - facing Harvey Wippleman in a Tuxedo Match before helping X-Pac shave Jeff Jarrett's head in a SummerSlam Hair vs Hair match.
In April 2009, the New Jersey native was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame and he returned in 2018 to announce The Undertaker for the 25th anniversary of Monday Night Raw.
At the news of his death, a number of wrestling figures lauded Finkel for his legacy.
Veteran ring star Jim Ross stated: "So sad to hear of the passing of my friend, the greatest ring announcer in the biz, Howard Finkel, at the age of 69. The Hall of Famer is now ring announcing in Heaven. No one was more loyal or loved pro wrestling more than The Fink."
