Wouldn't take much notice of John Cross tbh, he's as reliable as AFCamden.
I do think that the board would not sell against Wenger's will, ie RVP, Cesc, Nasri, none of them would have left without Wenger's consent.
Wenger for me always has the final say.
Nasri was sold without Wenger's consent.
RVP was sold for football reasons though.
Cesc made some pressure and Wenger had no choice as to sell him.
RVP didn't help with that statement he released, maybe he would've stayed!

Wenger can afford to shop at M & S, but derives pleasure in seeking bargains in Aldi instead.
