For a dirty sod who elbows people for fun this is a great advert for how footballers can contribute off the field and help people in a lovely way.

Everton's Steven Naismith, 26, is paying out of his own pocket for Christmas dinner for homeless people in Liverpool.

Players and staff from both clubs do fantastic work in the community and for charity. It's nothing new (for both clubs) and great to see new players come in and continue the tradition

You are allowed to be bitter, your club went out of existance and your best players used this to leave for nothing!
And you get to play in places with made up names....
Montrose.......Elgin......Where are these places, Narnia!
You just cant have a league of made up places!
fellaini
all good points
but we still draw a bigger crowd than you do!

Thats because you have a lot of football fans in Narnia!
If you draw a bigger crowd, why would he want to leave

I'm sure they do, as do other clubs and other players. It would be nice to hear more about the good stuff in the media rather than the bad stuff about football and footballers.
Craig Bellamy had a reputation for being an abnoxious because of the way he was on the pitch but he's a seems like a really good guy. Set up his own foundation in Sierra Leone, with his own money.

What's 'fitbaw'? Is that Scottish for 'hoofball'?
I'm sorry, are you suggesting that playing for Rangers or Celtic, who are the only sides that win anything in the SPL is ambitious? Where is the prestige in coming 1st or 2nd in a two horse race, or one horse race as it now is?
If you draw a bigger crowd, why would he want to leave
Because he cant handle the pressure and wanted to go somewhere and play in front of 30k .
Couldnt handle the big crowds of the 4th tier of scottish football at ibrox , so went to goodison instead
Everton are the kilmarnock of the premier league that's why wee naisy loves it
Where is the prestige in coming 1st or 2nd in a two horse race
champions league football , not something he will achieve with everton

Yeah, I guess the media would rather show a player wiping his bum with £20's and make people think all were like that!
'champions league football , not something he will achieve with everton'
Nor would he with Rangers for a good while at least.
At least he's got a chance with us.
