Well a lot of us knew that signing Torres wouldn't be a good idea. He wasn't needed and our players and system didn't work so well with him. Plus no matter how well he played, people would just look at how many goals he scored, Whig adds pressure to each game and ruined his confidence. Modric isn't gonna be judged on his stats - instead how well he carries out his role, which is to keep things tidy and set the tempo in midfield. Not to mention Torres was past his peak and had suffered several injuries when we bought him, while Modric just had the best season of his career.
torres past his peak then why did chelsea spend £50 million on a player at 26 past his prime?
Anyhow, i believe Modric will be a world-class player for a long time, regardless of what club he is at. Credit to Harry Redknapp for nurturing such a young talent into a world star

I've been wondering the same thing, trust me. Torres can still get over 20 goals next season easily if he doesn't get injured and AVB sets up the team to get the best out of him. I still support him as he is a Chelsea player.
Pathetic chavs.
Trying to tap up other teams' players.
Why don't you promote your beloved Mc Eachren instead of spending 35m??
The same McEachren who is the poor mans Ravel Morrison.
How would your club cope when Roman leaves you for good?
I ilke how he calls us chavs and then mentions Ravel Morrison Run along, mummy will be getting worried, no?
even more funny that he's living all the wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy in bangalore india and considers himself die hard united
this article was not intended to be a come back liverpool vs chelsea, merely to discuss Modric position in relation to Torres, but the blue guardians of the chelsea JA page have misinterpreted it and turned it into yet another blue v red .....oh well
Chavski have the largest share of gloryhunters ya idiot.
Just take a look over Asia. 5 years ago there were absolutely no chavski fans. now there are plenty.
Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool, Spurs have been around for decades.

Ive read your article a few times. I stil dont get what point you're trying to make? Is this a wum? If so where is the wumming? Come on, stop beating around the bush
point made mr chelsea
definitely not a wum. just wandering whether chelsea was the right club for Modric and where hed fit in around torres (as avb seems to be continuing on the plan of buying around torres)
in answer to your questions
just wandering whether chelsea was the right club for Modric? ----- yes
where hed fit in ------midfield
hmmm not sure about chelsea and who would partner him in midfield? lampard? or will avb go with 4-3-3 which has been very successful (no matter what the critics say about 'good' football) so hell be in center or out wide?
If we sign Modric then would he be given a more advance role so to speak?
If not then he would most likely play along side Lampard.
His partner would be Mikel and Ramires ideally, Lampard dropped to the bench

Are you looking forward to watching that team from another galaxy, Manchester United on your old Satellite dish? Do you think that the Monsoon Season will affect the pictures much?
I've told you before, the only thing that you've got in common with Man U is that you're both on Planet Earth.

If it is any consolation, the United fans think he is an imbecile as well.
