Not a bad run over the last 4 years, so why shouldn't we be in Munich on May 19th?
Anyone not know me on this article? Bored...
The amount of records we've set in the CL in terms of longest run undefeated, both home and away over long periods during the last 4 years should fill all Utd fans with confidence that we'll be there or there abouts next year.
In terms of Barcelona, if Inter can knock them out, if Chelsea deserved to knock them out, then there's no reason they won't be knocked out again whether that's us or someone else. It is a cup competition after all.
If we can avoid Real Madrid and Barcelona I think we have a big chance next season, but I think these teams will give us a good game and run us close but I do think we have the ability to beat them...
Inter
Bayern
Lyon
Chelsea
City
Milan
No point putting Arsenal for two reasons.
1) They won't make the group stages.
2) We would beat them easily
Disagree about most on that list Khediras, but especially Lyon. We have a solid record against french teams.
I don't think any of those would pose us a big problem. Agree about Real though and ofcourse Barce
Will someone please beat Barca before we have to face them again in the final...not that we are are afeared of them, but it would be much easier to beat someone else ... \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\(Chelsea anyone?)

We've qualified for the Champions League group stages for the last 14 seasons. What makes this year different?
And since when have Man Utd beaten us 'easily'?

If the title of this thread is Champions League then the answer is the last time we played you

Haha, very funny.
You may have beaten us without too much trouble a few times over the years, but a game between Arsenal and Man Utd is usually very close and competitive.
I can say the same thing, we've beaten Ma Utd with ease a few times over the years.
Sorry Kamran I couldn't resist Genuinely surprised it was you asking the question <thumb>
The group stage hardly matters, without even seeing the draw its pretty easy to predict most teams who will be in the last 16.
Personally the only team for us to avoid is Barca, but as we have seen it is possible to knock them out like Inter did, so I'd hope that someone else does the job on this season.
People need to get over this idea that Real are the second best team on the planet. If we had met them in last seasons final, I'm 90% sure we would have won it.
United are better than Real.

Im sorry really?
Even as a Chelsea fan I feel that If our teams played tomorrow United would win but do you seriously think if you had met Madrid in the Final you would of won.
Madrid boast some of the greatest players in world football currently (granted so does united) with arguably the best squad (not starting XI) with the second best player in the world spearheading the attack not to mention Mourinho at the helm. Admittedly Madrid have suffered worse defeats than UTD in recent years at the hands of Barca but still don't see how Madrid have an inferior team to United or would of lost to them in the final
I'd give us about 20-25% chance. Even though i think Barca would beat us (and everyone else) 4/5 times, anything can happen in football and if Barca get knocked out i'd think we would be (just) favourites.
f@ggot united fans.
WE CAN BEAT ANYONE !!!
get your d!cks out of barca, this is football and team are there to be beaten.
My advice, accept defeat , grow a spine, and support your team.
Doubt Barca will win it this season, don't think any team will retain it for a long time. We're in with a chance but can see Madrid focussing on it this season and they'll be hard to stop now they've been a team a bit longer
