Isn't The Lloris a children's film?

Cech is better than De Gea. Possibly Tim Krul

De Gea is still a long way off the quality of Schmeichel and Van Der Sar but has all the attributes to be up there with them one day.

He's still very young (especially for a keeper) and will only improve with experience, a better understanding of this defence as well as fitting into life in England. His shot stopping and reflexes are excellent but he still needs to be more commanding with his area.

Right now I would only say Buffon is world class, Cech and Casillas have definitely had better periods in their career although Cech has improved in the past year. Hart and Neuer are also great keepers but still make the odd mistakes.

De Gea definitely needs to be our no.1 from now on, he is superior to Lindegaard, no reason not to.

De Gea > Schmeichel at his peak

He's better than Hart!
____________
That says nothing.

I think he's an outstanding keeper but its way top early to say he's the best whilst he's still making mistakes.

De Gea is already made his name among the legendary keepers of the past

I think he probably is but he needs more good performances to prove it. I was amazed at how many crosses he dealt with yesterday. Opposition fans won't agree but what do they no.
I wouldn't swap him for anyone else, certainly not in this league

I really like him and from a starting position as a good keeper he's getting better and better!

Take his performance on Sunday, caught everything you'd expect him to catch, when things were tight he came out, was positive and assertive and punched well clear of his area. Made some terrific reflex saves, held the ball well and gathered it in with no problems when speculative shots came in, stood tall and kept big to thwart Silva with his shoulder, and his kicking and distribution are pretty good too.

Also he looks right playing for United, looks comfortable, proud, like he loves playing for us, I have great hopes for him and wouldn't swap him for anyone!

What a terrible article full of biased utd fans who wrongly evaluate there own player due to the fact that they get in a strop not having the best keeper in the league.

Of course we are biased but we try to jutify what we say by adding details to support our opinions such as shot stopping, coming for crosses, and recent performances to illistrate why we feel this way.

If you don't agree the perhaps you could tell us why and give some examples of where De Gea is weak and which other keepers may be better and why.

Carefull lambsy, a debate might break out

If anybody thinks it's worth debating that De Gea is the best keeper in the league, then he's a fool. I'm sorry, I rate De Gea and he's gonna be a great keep but the best keeper in the league after numerous howlers? Please. It's not even a debate, it's delusion.

De Gea isn't the best keeper yet, at the moment Cech is arguably the best keeper in the league.

"After so many howlers"

For a start I don't believe he's made many howlers and also the best keepers of all time have made howlers, remember how Schmeical started out?

Players are allowed to improve you know and that means they can go from being poor to brilliant!!!

Now I think De Gea is a great signing and shows real potential, yet he is only 22 and has ages in his career left to play. He PLAYS like a 22 year old at times, whereas the wiser heads know what to do at any point in the game. Give him Friedals exp and he would be the best in the league. Currently? Not so much. Cech is ahead easily.

Numerous howlers?

He's made one mistake since January.

I agree he isn't the best in the league. I think he arguably has the best reflexes, however, he has a lot to learn. I don't think he's far off.

I don't believe he's the best in the league but I wouldn't swap him. As said earlier Chech has come good again, he did go through a poor patch, I really like Brad Friedel too but they are getting on a bit, and although Hart can be very good he has his lapses too so I'm very happy with David!

Can't you read?

I would have De Gea over any other keeper as well maybe. However I am very happy with Lloris and dont think we need strengthening in the area as Spurs have the best keeper strength and depth in the league by a LONG shot!

Lloris is one of the 3 best keepers in the world

Spurs fans said so

posted on 11/12/12

Lloris is the second best keeper in the league behind Cech.

posted on 11/12/12

Is he?

I genuinely thought he may of been before he came to spurs tbf bc he is the third best keeper in the world on Fifa/FM!

He had a strange start to his Spurs career. That will blow over.
