And where exactly are Arsenal? People in glass houses and all that......
-----------
And then you did this...

Jenkinson?

Andre Wisdom is better than him, and Wisdom is a CB really, not a RB!!

Sad to think we could have had that midfield for a good few years if Scholesy hadn't retired early

Wisdom . Another one of Liverpool players with no future.

-------------------------------

Yeah absolutely no future. Unless of course you count living the dream of playing professional football, getting paid money that most people on here can only dream of and then retiring by the time he's 40.

Call that a future? Ha. A real future is working 40 years in the hope of doing some of the things you enjoy and then being presented with a pen and a P45. That's a future. I feel sorry for that Wisdom chap.

Arsene Wengooner,

Your point is what exactly? I am quite right in what I have said. Only Arsenal fans and Roy Hodgson thinks Jenkinson is any good, and we all know how useless Roy is!

The '66 team may have won the World Cup, but the Italia '90 was our best team ever. In many other years they would have won it.

No, the 1970 team was the best ever...generally accepted as the best in the world... and we had 3 genuine world class players in that team..

Jenkinson does not even know what Country he is from which may account for his positioning.

Mexican, did you get to see all those players play? whenever i speak to people about Edwards, for example, most of them rave about him when they were not even born when he was playing.

I could write an A* essay on the battle of Waterloo but I didn't attend it. I just took the time to learn about it.

Knowledge is the bomb.

Wow, sour faced Liverpool fans do not like Jenkinson.

1970 may have had more genuine world class players in it, but IMO the team in the 1990 WC was a better team. You can have as many world class players as you like, but it is a team that wins things. It is only my opinion anyway, everyone is different.

without being born at the time i was always under the impression that the 1970 side was better than the 1966 side. however, the brazil side was better than everyone else!

these are the same fans that thing Carl jenkinson is better than Kyle Walker
------------------------------------------------------------------------
. What a deluded comment. Walker is overrated as we saw against Chelsea

===

That's deluded Mr Arsenal fan.

Judging Walker on one game!

And on Wisdom, you are so wrong. Midtable Liverpool insult? Have you seen the table and how many points Arsenal have?

I feel sorry for the empty space in your head.

I've learnt something today. The average age on here must be somewhere in the teens, judging by the teams people are putting on. Do you know nothing of previous England teams? The youth of today are clueless

seemed so as it panned out, yes, and how.

however arresting our captain and talisman and casing a diplomatic incident before the tournament wasn't the best preparation for England

Javier is that to me?

Desperate measures I guess. England is really weak on the right wing at the moment.

HenrysCat

It is because he is useless compared to the other English players in that position.

Players better than Jenkinson in that position (in no order):

Glen Johnson
Kyle Walker (not a big fan, but he is better)
Micah Richards
Martin Kelly (CB by trade)
Andre Wisdom (CB by trade)
Chris Smalling (CB by trade)
Phil Jones (CB by trade)
Nathaniel Clyne

No it was to the united fan who had him as the long striker. Defoe on form is surely better.

I'm Welsh so it doesnt matter to me but England had so much better (forward options) in the 90's and early 00's.

Plays well for England

Trouble is, we have a sever shortage of top class number 9s. In fact, we don't have any unless you play Rooney there and then he becomes know as a tap in merchant.

Welbeck needs to improve his finishing and then we have a bloody good technical number 9
