As a bear, I have no issue hoping any Scottish team do well, even Celtic. Especially in the group stages. Once it gets to the knockout phases with Celtic still going strong (good memory eh?) that's when it becomes "uncomfortable".

I'm not going to support Rangers tonight or any other time.

Me sitting at home cheering Rangers isn't going to influence the result.

I don't like Hearts but want them to do well in Europe. Could not bring myself to watch rangers and 'want' them to get a positive result. If they get to group stage i won't be too dissapointed.

I dont mind rangers gettin to groups or whatever, but to want them to get there? no.

I would love to be able to support rangers in Europe. I've sat down half a dozen times trying to be positive but then I head "Derry Walls" or worse and it all goes out the window. So the truth is, that with only one exception*, I simply cannot support rangers in Europe.




*the exception being when their games and injuries are piling up - then I don't mind them having to play more games midweek . That's a fair and reasonable position to take. Well I thought it was ....

your right it won't influence the result, but what it does influence is the co-efficient, which helps our club Celtic so yes i will be wanting Rangers to make the group stages.

your trying to make yourself sound a decent guy by saying you try to support Rangers but as soon as you hear certain songs you can't.

I am guessing then if that is the case, when our support sang inappropriate songs on Sunday you didn't want us to win either?

KBMcN - I've posted on here/beeb board a thousand times I hate it when those numpties of the GB start with their ra songs. I've no wish to associated with that type of behaviour and would prefer it if they went away rather than continue to sing that stuff.
That said I do not believe they consitute a majority with their choice of song - when they sing some songs EVERYBODY joins in - when they sing those songs they sing alone for the most part.

So, having said that my question to you is should I let the bunch of unreconstructed nyaffs of the 'we'll sing what we want' brigade deter me from supporting MY team? A team I've supported for about as long as you have - going by your user name.

Of course you should still support our team and i agree some of the stuff the GB sing isnt right.

but as you said u try to support Rangers then some of their fans sing songs that aint right. Ignore them and still support our Scottish teams in Europe that will benefit our Celtic.

There is no doubt that the Green Brigade bring a fantastic atmosphere to the stadium. However, that is only with SOME songs. Others have no place in a football ground and people should not sing such songs.
