Your going to get people coming on saying Theo doesn't warrant that money.
Well seeing as we have probably got the weakest attacking team of all time under wenger, with Theo being our only goal threat and top scorer you would think wenger would do everything in his power to keep him.
Bad financial and football sense to get rid. Its obviously going to be to a rival aswell.
This is exactly the same as the nasri, rvp, fabregas story.
Wenger crying to the media that he wants him to stay and that Theo won't leave and then before you know it, he will be of to Chelsea
btw, hw reliable is physioroom.com?. As they have put Kos and Theo dwn as late fitness tests for mondays game.
Honestly, if Theo does not start v reading we will not score
As good as Theo is, I think it's him who doesn't really fit our system any more. If we persist to play with Giroud up front then we need the sorts of players who can get decent crosses into the box... someone in the mould of Valencia or even Jarvis (not that either are available)
I know it's unlikely but if we sold Theo and then replaced him with someone like the above, i actually feel the team will be stronger.
Theo's best position is striker, and he's just not going to get that role for a few more years at Arsenal. On the wing he's quite effective but I think there are other quality players who could do his job equally well or better.
We won't replace Walcott which is the problem.
Wenger will say we have ox, gervinho and gnarby
I think Wenger is preparing his exit. Garwood gooner will be getting the champagne out.
what frustrates me about the walcott argument, is that i know in my gut that as soon as he's got that contract, we'll never see a decent contribution from him again. it's a phenomenon i like to call Adebayorrhea.
haha I don't think Walcott's like Ade though... He always tries hard, even for the last year he's always given it his all when he has more reason than any of the players to be demotivated
I disagree, i just think he's genuinely improving bar rvp, he's been top of the goals/assists charts for the last 3 seasons. Nothing to do with a new deal.
Walcott is our best forward. If we sell then its the last straw for me.
