Being played out of position means nothing I'm afraid.

Sorry but I find this comment crazy. Anderson arrived as player that either operated behind the striker/s or wide/inside left ala Ronaldinho. The role that he was asked to play by SAF was completely different. Can you imagine Ronaldinho doing that role? Obviously im not suggesting Ando has the same ability.
I reality Anderson adapted well to his new role initially and did better than could reasonably be expected. However, it would appear that once the thrill of playing reguarly dampened he soon became frustrated at being played out of position - his form then dropped. This appears to have culminated in him going AWOL and showdown talks with SAF. Shortly after the incident SAF then played him in a more attacking role, but he got injured almost immediately.
The end of last season was the only time whilst at United then he has been given a run of games in an advanced role and he looked pretty good to be fair. Hopefully he can continue to progress.
I just think that those that arent United fans and that havent paid real attention to Anderson's time at United cant really have a full understanding of all the factors that have held him back.
I have no doubt that he has the ability - he just needs some breaks now and some faith from the boss.

well if you can, how did you miss all the over points made? or is is that typical selective reading than liverpool fans are so fond of?

"Remember when Manure signed Anderson for 17m..but he still hasnt done anything of note!"
Given the almost reverential awe the Scousers place in the European Champion's League (it being their only remaining area of historical superiority over United) I am rather surprised that scoring a penalty to help win an ECL final is not apparently considered to be "anything of note!!
Andy Suarez.....I thought all three of you were probably in the same class at junior high...
