great performance from khan, dont get all this hate for him from many british fans, i really dont, he's one of our few genuine world class fighters

Khan made a lot of improvements, no one can match his hand speed. Show some new evasive skills and great lateral movement.

Stuck to the gameplan and did not get involved in a brawl.

Didn't chase the KO.

Khan would KO Garcia if they meet again.

Garcia got the Judah match up next year, and Khan looks to be targeting a tough match with the tall rangy, durabale, big punching wild man, Josesito Lopez.

lopez is a top class fighter for sure, beat victor ortiz not long back, would be a top fight with khan, but would amir have to move up to welterweight?

The fight would be at 140lbs.

Lopez is a 140lbs, moved up to welter to face Ortiz at short notice, because Bertoid was using.

Mexican rave.. Khan is not world class

You do not become world class by dominating the domestic scene but then getting taken out 3 times in the higher classes... I will let khan off the Peterson defeat and class it as 2 losses but they were both BIG LOSSES

Everyone knows Khan has the skill and the power to match anybody in the division but he does not have the brain of a world class fighter which will always be his undoing at this level.

This fight against Molina meant nothing as he was always going to win against somebody who has fought no one and operated at a weight below Khan.

I really hope that as he gets older his brain takes a hit which jolts it into defence mode and then he could become great.

For Khan to win any fight all he has to do is

Jab jab move jab strike move out and circle
He could do that all night and win every fight on points and nobody could match him

well he didnt lose to peterson he was robbed by the ref and peterson was roided up, garcia caught him with a great shot fair do's

And Bradley Prescott ?

posted on 16/12/12

im not saying khan is a perfect fighter, but he is one of the best in the world at his weight class, that makes him world class for me

If he is one of the best then what about

Fmw
Manny
Marquez
Bradley
Garcia
Prescott

All these have or would beat him and I reckon there are others aswell

posted on 16/12/12

he would beat prescott and garcia if they fought again,i reckon he COULD beat any of them other than mayweather if they fought next year and he stuck to the right fight plan, khan's problem is he is too headstrong but if he can overcome that he could be a world champion again

Khan has offer Bradley (Twice) Marquez and Mayweather fights in the past all turned him down.

Does Garcia want a rematch?

agree vik

I'm with you on Garcia not being world class which makes my point even more valid.

People rave about Manny but he has so many losses on his record and then suddenly became good ( drugs cough drugs)

Always find it strange that since people have raised the issue with manny and drugs he has lost twice

well he lost once, he battered tim bradley and was the victim of one of the greatest robberies in boxing history, and even in the marquez defeat he was on top in the fight and just got hit with a awesome shot

SRR has 19 losses on his record, guess RogueManny thinks he is not world class as well

People raises the issue with drugs? Floyd and his daddy and uncle, you mean.

Made those accusations to duck the fight with Pacquiao.

And recently gave a groveling apology for making up stories without a shred of evidence.

The Garcia fight will happen, it is a money fight.

Khan has never ducked a challenge, and he goes after the tough fights.

Should not fight Cheterson again though, why give that PED user a pay day.

Unless a fight is a mandatory fight, it is handpicked.

And no one is claiming that Molina is world class and this is a great victory for Khan.

It was a good victory over a tough and durable but limited boxer, and Khan looked good in his comeback fight after a KO defeat last time out.

Being inbetween trainers this was the ideal fight for Khan. The only spice to this fight was that he was unbeaten and the home boy but after 30 secs it was obvious that this fight will be one sided.

Khan is in a great division with Broner possibly entering junior welter late 2013 but before that you have JMM, Garcia, Peterson, Rios, Mattyse all vying for titles. He won't get Garcia till late 2013 as Garcia fights in Feb and Khan in April but I guess Lopez is not a bad fight. Personally I'd like him to beat Peterson and then move on to Garcia.

D4 SRR Had 200 fights and yes he lost 19 but was only stopped once and that was a TKO

He carried on past his best but I would never argue that he was not world class.

The Petersen fight and the Maidana fight showed that at times Khan could be broken down physically. The Garcia fight showed the same when he started rattling Khan with body shots, before that hook nailed him.

Khan has great speed and natural talent, but defensively he isn't great. When fighters have tested his chin in a tiring fight he goes down. He just isn't durable to beat the elite. to do that Hunter will have to completely change his stance, his mindset and his defence.

He can become a champion again and I think he would beat Garcia if he fought a smarter fight, which I think he would. After that, against a strong fighter, who can time their punches and takes him into the trenches, he's a punch away from another loss.
