Slightly off topic, (only slightly) but I didn't realise Thierry Henry had recently become a dad again.
Seems his much rumoured January loan to us might not happen after all...
we have so much carp out on loan at the moment, we seem completely unable to shift our deadwood.
Correct me if I'm worng, but if we put Chamakh out on loan wont we still be paying his wages? so I fail to see how this benefits us. We still have Bendtner and Denilson out on loan, both of which are players whose Arsenal careers are well and truly over so why haven't we shifted them?
Didn't realise Henry had become a dad again. That loan would be beneficial in my eyes, more so for his presence around the squad. Regardless if he comes in for a bit I can't look past the fact a striker (who scores goals) is fundamental for a push for the top 4..
Huntelaar, Ba and Adrian Lopez are the apparent targets.
Lopez for me is the most 'Wenger like' player of that trio. Technically great and mobile, but with a pretty poor goal record. Ba is an established Premier League goalscorer, but has a fairly iffy injury record. Huntelaar in goalscoring terms is by far the standout candidate, but will command big money and allegedly can be a disruptive so and so. Pros and cons for each...
FFS not on loan. Why can't we just cut our losses and release him on a free. He's not going to play any part in the season and is just wasting a valuable squad space.
As for the OP, yeah I agree with Chris, we really need to sell Chamakh, not add him to the already lengthy list of loanees we currently have cluttering up the benches of second-rate European football clubs.
He's not good enough to command a starting place in our first XI, and without that he seems to have lost the motivation he had to succeed when he first arrived at Arsenal, so no point in thinking about keeping him.
Should have been sold in the summer.
Lucio left Juve today by mutual consent and is a free agent #justsayin

---------------------
Depends. A loan to club like Inter would mean that they would pick most if not all of the wages.
We would definitely subsidise wages for a club with smaller wage bill. So we are paying 60% of Denilson's wages. Whereas I would think Juve are paying most of Bendtner's wages.
Lucio is a has been. he can offer us nothing but a short term wage hike.
Look what Djourou just posted on his twitter, this is amazing

Chamakh should of gone out on loan a long time ago, no idea why he didn't.

Correct.
Because Wenger in all his wisdom thought he had more to offer than Bendtner.

But then why not play him? He's let him rot in the reserves for no reason

Love the bit in the interview where he calls Gazidis a c/nt.

Chamakh is not supposed to go on loan, he is supposed to leave the Arsenal!
