Yea you just took it for granted that he would score. Made it look so easy.
Phenomenal goal scorer. Only reason we didnt win morr with him was due to some annoying little French git called Thierry Henry
It was his determination and will to win that was special, you knew if there was a sniff of a chance he would do whatever it took to get that ball in the net.
The way he ended his career at United was appaling and didn't fit him at all. Bust up with Ronaldo and then Sir Alex for not playing him in a Carling Cup Final. Should have had a happy ending at Manchester United. Nice to see him back at the statue unveiling and Sir Alex and himself burying any hatches between them.

And also the fact we had Barthez, Blanc and Silvestre playing in defence. I remember many times when Blanc would join the attack and then just stroll back while we were being hit on the counter.
The guy was the best finisher we ever had IMO.
Would have liked to see him, Rooney and Ronaldo have found a way to work together.

Fantastic player and despite rivalries you had to admit he was just a phenomenal finisher in the box.
Always thought if you looked at his style of play and the goals he scored and Henry's style of play, with the goals he scored - they would have complemented each other perfectly in the same side.

Remember him. Boy he was something else in the highbury days. Couldnt be touched against the smaller teams. Then he used his hand against ireland. So hes a slimy cheat haha
Ruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuud
I think he scored 38 goals in his first 38 CL games with United.
Deadly.
How many pens did he score
One less than enough against Arsenal
Thats got this famous game in it.

just seen the video if rvp is half as good as rvn then we will be lucky.
that goal with rooney run and picking van nistelrooy who controls and smashes it in was graet.
Rooney ronaldo van nistelrooy partnership was great.
How many pens did he score

No Idea, one thing I noticed watching all his goals was that when he was at his best, his shots were fired just inside the post. He had great confidence in his accuracy.
14 appearances 10 goals in 2002
11 apperances 14 goals in 2003
7 appearances 4 goals in 2004
7 apperances 8 goals in 2005
8 appearances 2 goals in 2006
in europe van nistelrooy was crazy good, shame we didn't win as much as we should have.
wow I realised just now that peter schmeichel was in goal in the fa cup game against aston villa. I find it baffling why he had to leave after 99 final.

It was a real shame that Ruud's 5 years at the club is probably the worst 5 year spell United have had trophy wise in Sir Alex's reign.
1 League title, 1 FA Cup and 1 League Cup losing 1 FA Cup Final
RVN's departure then preceeded possibly the best 3 years in the club's entire history.
3 League Titles, 1 Champions League and 1 League Cup, losing 1 Champions League final and an FA Cup Final as well.
I just loved the noise United fans made every time Ruud scored a goal.

1 title in 5 years Sounds like a massive lie. United won't go on a run like that for years to come.
AlwaysUnited - It's time for Cleverson! (U4063)
He did win la liga twice though after he left funnily enough we won the title 3 times in a row while he won 2.
hafijur
I was pleased for him that the move to Real was a success.
Ruud's all round is game is one of the most underrated I've ever seen. An absolutely brilliant footballer.

People seemed to forget how good he was at pinging the ball to the wings, his close control and his dribilling. Pre-injury he was a great player overall.
