I would like us to gamble on Verhoek, yes it might be risky, but could be very exciting, although having them both would be best
Good find, he hasn't scored too many goals though looking on wiki.
I think that if we are serious about challenging for a top two position, we would try and sign them both.
He is a young winger, scored 1 in 6 throughout his career for a team that has finished 15th, 15th and 7th last three seasons. Other than Lewis that's got to be more of a goal threat than what we currently have from midfield.
Also found this for the MA haters (don't agree with them):
"We would love to keep Wesley, but it is up to him. There is a bid from Nottingham Forest before, but that was unacceptable. I do not know if the club intends to have a bid," he told himself Steijn facing the camera slip Eredivisie Live.2
I'm pretty sure we've bid for him, and it's on Sky Sports today that Rangers have bid £1m for him (didn't say if it was accepted or not). I feel he could be tempted by Champions League football
Rangers just started bidding boys.
Yeah you lot continue with your 'Proven English Championship players' like Routledge with no technical ability and we'll take the Dutch player of the year!
Your English arrogance is unreal. You've got a country who produces some of the best players on the planet, got to World cup finals or sign an English player. FFS!
Two games in the Champions league and 4 competitive games in the Scots Prem...other than that he would be bored.
I feel he could be tempted by Champions League football
Obviously!
Two games? We played 14 last year in Europe! How many did Notts Forest manage?
The SPL god forbid he win a few medals and enjoy europe's top competition at the world's most successful club!*
*most league titles
world's most successful club!

Classic...in a tin pot league that even Derby would win
Erm we were in Europe most of last season. Europa well after Xmas. We also have Hearts and Dundee Utd and Hibs in the League who are good teams
We play in front of 50,000 every 2 weeks. We have 600 plus supporters clubs worldwide. We have 2 million fans in the UK. We have the European record for travelling fans. We have the CL record for travelling fans.
We win leagues and trophies.
What the fluck would he do at Forrest? Maybe fight for promotion then, if he's really lucky get promoted, them cannon fodder and straight back down. Woopy doo.
"Classic...in a tin pot league that even Derby would win"
How did we do against Man Utd last season...or Blackpool last week! You have no clue wee man.
Our stadium/support/history/achievements/squad dwarf you at every turn save for a uniques 2 year period in your history.
We'll challenge for the league, be in Europe and be the big fish in our pond all season...you will not
Ha Ha Ha
When the powers that be, make it easy for teams who get into Europe to stay in Europe, even when they loose.
I don't remeber that being the case Whne we won the European Cup twice
We've challenged for group qualification consistently, been to a European final in the last 3yrs and taken about 50m in revenue in the process!
Your squad would be in a battle for third/fourth in the spl. You wouldn't come close to the OldFirm and you know it.
Your European Cup wins I cannot knock, but c'mon man you aren't in that place now are you? 30+ Years ago mean nothing now. You aren't even in your top league in your country.
You have no clue wee man ????????!!!!!!!

Charming! I don't have balls but I have the balls if you know what I mean.
We have more competitive leagues down here. Thankfully your lot are not part of them.
OMG
U would struggle to get promoted out of our Championship, let alone be anywhere decent in the Premiership!
More competitive...is missing out on promotion a competition now
Ok...you have a choice...
Would you rather NottsFor played in the top tier league/in Europe/in a half decent stadium
or stay as they are now?
Sky wants us in the proper league anyway not the also-rans.
More Competetive yes and that's because you are all average. Lots of average teams trying to get promotion, once up pumped straight back down again.
Rangers would absolutely romp that Championship. Your squads are p111ss poor frankly.
Shut Up.
We have better stadiums than all but two of the Premiership...bigger support than all but 3-4.
Do you not think with the money we'd receive we'd perform well? We'd become the biggest supported clubs in the league if we joined.
Fair comment about us not being where we was, but come on Scottish Football does not set the world on fire in terms of competitivness, Cathy's right
Also, I can confirm she hasn't got balls, but a fine pair of b@@bs!
What makes it your right to join... We don't want you.. end of.... Stay north of the border please and keep pushing for devolution.... oh sorry you aren't a Celt... hey ho
Aladin!!!!!
They aren't that big babe
Who says we are joining? Your clubs wouldn't let us join as they know we (both Rangers and Celtic) would become the next Man U, Liverpool and Arsenal it would be inevitable with the amount of support. The biggest supported clubs are the most successful.
Turkeys don't vote for Xmas and two of those diddy newly promoted Championship clubs would be relegated as soon as we joined.
Wow...implying you know my political beliefs based on my football team....how small minded are you.
Keep your sectarianism away from my FOOTBALL team please.
