Liverpool were good in the 80's
---------

Contrary to popular belief - Liverpool remain one of the few consistent trophy winners since the turn of the Milennium.

Only Chelsea and United have won more silverware since 2000

Liverpool FC... even their baren spells are successful

Do you remember last season when you gloated about being 13 points ahead of Arsenal, and thinking you were getting CL football ahead of Chelsea? Good times, good stuff.

-----

yup.

you live and learn

if we get to 13 points ahead.. then we wont boast as much

so if a team wins lets say the premier league, and they dont win anything in the ten years either side of that.. does that mean that they were never good? what about the season that they won the prem?

Spurs

The only set of fans who laugh at other clubs who win trophies when they barely remember what one looks like

LFC have been priceless comedy in recent years:

- First Rafa guaranteeing 4th place. Nice one Rafa
- Then Roy turning up and getting the locals all upset
- Signing Konchesky
- Then The King returning, but doing such a great job that they had to give him a long deal
- KK trusted with big funds and all LFC fans expecting a return to the glory days
- Spending £35m on Carroll
- Spending £20m on Downing only for him to gain 0 assists and 0 goals priceless!
- £18m on Henderson
- 8th place
- Loaning out Carroll and then not replacing him
- refusing to spend £6m on Dempsey
- The whole "I have 3 names here of players who will let me down this season" mind job by Professor Rodgers
- fans calling him Buck

In recent weeks they seemed to be getting their act together. A half decent run of form (ignoring the standard defeat to Spurs) . An easy home win against relegation fodder up next. 4 points behind top 4. Suddenly, LFC were no laughing matter, a strut in their stride, pride restored, hope renewed, bold predictions being made......only for Rodgers to offer up more comedy gold with his now infamous "top 2" comment..followed by the inevitable home thrashing to Villa.

Keep it coming LFC. It's brilliant!
