No, not 4411
We need dominance in midfield for our game plan to work and 2 midfielders wont give you that. Well Brendan wont play that for sure.
433/4213
The other big reason is Luis Suarez. IMO he is not a goal-scorer
========================
Myth. By far our top scorer and first to get to 10 PL goals.
4-3-3 under BR unless he wants to play 3-5-2. Ince is going to play RWF and also Sturridge will be put out there, Sturridge will also be given the strikers role when Suarez doesn't play there or during a change of tactics in game.
4-3-3 will be here whilst BR is here.
a 433 type of formation is the right way to go here, id have thought that would be fairly obvious myself, sturridge will play the role borini was before he was injured, exploiting the space cutting in from out wide when suarez flits about, ince will only be a squad player, which with us still in the EL and depending on how he takes the fa cup, would mean he is a good option to have
Not excited by either.
More mediocrity / squad members.
I agree with my friend Steve Nicol

I'd go for huntelaar if there was a > 0.1% of him choosing us.
but there isn't
so what's the point?
Huntelaar is close to extending contract with current club..
All for giving players a chance and they may come good in 1 or 2 seasons but not right now.
BR always banging on about going to Spain to study the game so why isnt he and his scouting team searching further afield than a Chelsea and Man City reject and a player we let go for £250k
I rate Sturridge even though I'm a big critic. Physical, pace, skills, movement, can score goals, game intelligence, wins the ball, etc.

How is he a man city reject?
Man City fought tooth and nail to keep him and did get £6m in compensation for him, so I'd hardly say they rejected him!
He hasn't had a chance at Chelsea because they paid £50m for the làdyboy and come hell or high water abramovic is going to play him. If Sturridge had the playing time Torres has had, I bet he'd have more goals to his name and would it make you happy if his name was Danielo Sturridgeinio?
Been thinking more on these transfers. I think sturridge will be a good signing. Not sure of ince though but he cant be as bad as downing and less wages.
Just heard a rumour. From an implacable source. A striker. Not exactly a household name, but incredibly talented. When I've seen him play, he scares the opposition. Remember when teams were scared to come to Anfield?? I must confess, I struggle to believe that we are going to get him, and, as always, will wait till he is paraded, in Red, at Anfield. He really will be a surprise signing if we get him. If we don't sign him, I will declare, and that's a promise. jimmyTheRed
Don't tell me Jimmy - it's a championship or below player who will prob fall flat on his ar$e if he comes to the premiership ?
4-3-3 will remain the formation. sturridge and ince will compete for the right forward position. both like to play on that side and cut in on their stronger left foot. obviously suarez through the middle with sterling at the moment on the left.
i find the ince signing a little confusing. he's very similar to sturridge and i think we need someone ready to start on the left ahead of sterling.

And there lies the problem. Suarez is never a central striker and that is the position we need filling with a Quality player
If we get Sturridge, I could see him central and Suarez right.
that's both of them in their 'correct' positions anyway
Bitter, as I've said before, I am really surprised at the name. This is not a wum, and that too is a promise. JimmyTheRed. PS, different to Rushie, but same end result.
He's no Defoe, Defoe can actually play as a lone striker and City got 3.5mil for Sturridge.
