Thanks Great for an actual response. Dunno what the others are on i'm guessing it's because there's plenty of similar articles below but couldn't really be bothered reading 30+ comments.
Anyway does Sturridge really score many goals, only at Bolton and that's because the whole team played around him. Will Liverpool be willing to do that?
"Anyway does Sturridge really score many goals"
played on the wing, he got 11 in 30 last season in the league. and apparently he wasn't on form.
Welbeck has 11 goals for United over his whole career
So I guess they're about equal then
also, my monkey has 12 haemorrhoids
Sturridge is a talented kid that will do really well if he cuts out that attitude and get a run of games.... and stops that terrible dance
I honestly think £12m for Sturridge is a bargain and don't think they'd let Sturridge go had they not spent tons and tons of Hazards, Oscars, Moses, Marin, etc.. and potentially Falcao. Don't forget the £50m man

The thing you need to look and with ince is that we offered him a contract and he turned it down, so in essence he forced his sale. In the deal that took him there for £250,000 we had a 35% sell on clause incorporated in the deal and brings the reported fee down to £4m. He's shown himself as one of the best players in the championship and I think 4m is a gamble worth taking!
Sturridge is overrated in your opinion but has been very highly regarded at both Man City and Chelsea, so he must have something about him. He hasn't had a decent chance of it at Chelsea even though Torres couldn't hit a barn door with a Bren gun and undoubtedly that will have dented his confidence. If we get the Sturridge that scored 8 in 12 for Bolton whilst on loan then I'll be very happy and whilst the papers say we're paying £12m they are often very wrong!
Apparently the move for sturridge had collapsed

Not a good source to be fair, but who knows what's going on
Yh, Welbeck's not scored many but you ask any united fan what does Danny need to work on most and they'll all tell you his goalscoring/finishing.
KLS you say he was very highly regarded at Chelsea but then go on to say he wasn't given a chance even though Torres couldn't hit a barn door. Surely if he was So highly regarded then he'd have made more appearances
Regarding Ince i'm inclined to agree that he's worth the gamble although I've only seen him in a few games. Hopefully he's not just another over-hyped young English 'star'
20legend,
you deserved to be banned from this lovely board, you .
This is going to surprise you lot but I wouldn't sign either of them. Sturridge is average at best and paying £6m for Ince 18 months after selling him for £250,000 is utter madness.

Simple fact of the matter is they've had that many managers and they all have they're own styles and idea's. AVB played Sturridge quite a lot where as RDM didn't and Rafa will just carry on playing Torres as his one striker until the world ends!
Come on then shortlight who would you sign?
So, he wasn't highly regarded at Chelsea, he was highly regarded by AVB, and surely one thing we can all agree on is that AVB is not exactly the best manager around
