powershift, i think we all would rather see Lloris mate. He has bought a real calmness to the goal keeping side of things. Once we get our proper defence back i think we will look a lot stronger at the back.
It could all prove to be irrelevant if Brad is gone in the Jan window.
good tie it wouldn't look out of place in the champions league last 16. If both teams play there strongest team then it will make the europa league good to watch
I can't say i would be to bothered if Friedel went. He has been a great servant but Cudicini is more than good enough as back up for number 2 and he is actually happy being a sub goal keeper It's all about Lloris
Have to say I do think we sometimes play better against better teams. Like no matter how strong a side we field when we play teams like Maribor and the like we always seem to be terrible, so i'm fairly optimistic...
Mind I said the same when we drew Madrid back in the Champs league... Look how that went
i just love the way he commands his box. fearless and brave, exactly what we need to inject young defenders like caulker with confidence.
powershift, yes and i stand by what i said at the start of the season. If we had Lloris in goal from the start we would of had more points on board.
well as good as friedel is, the warn signs were all there. no clean sheet with him in goal. yes, he wasn't directly to blame and didn't make any big mistakes, it was still his job to prevent the opposition from scoring.
Hugo is the future and for 12 mill an absolute steal!
power, i thought Friedel made a few errors for goals conceded in my opinion and was so slow off his line. I said Lloris would make a difference because of his agility and quickness off his line and so far i have proven right because having Lloris there is like having a sweeper. He is brilliant at commanding his box aswell as proven by that excellent bit of goal keeping against swansea when he knocked Michu out
ah mate, i celebrated that punch more than verts goal.
you just know michu would have scored with friedel in goal
You're all forgetting about Gomes
Well since nobody else has mentioned it....it will also mark the return of STEED malbranque to White Hart Lane
Be interesting seeing Lloris VS Vercoutre with Vercoutre being tipped to be called up to the French Squad also.
STEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDDDDDDDDDD
is malbranque actually playing or mainly on the bench?
@powershift
I think he has played about 15 this season. Scored 2 or 3 also. Crackers.
He obviously did not kick in season till about October because he had not kicked a ball for a whole year previously.
What i meant to say instead of that last bit of giberish....
He has forced his way into the side since gaining match fitness after retiring from St Etienne last year.
Before anyone mentions it he retired due to injuries not due to any sick family member which was some horrible internet lie.
sounds good. i'm sure he'll get a great reception.
sandro will probably take him out for another year tho...
