Every season when a player does well for a mid-table club, the clueless idiots clue for us to sign them. We had half of our board calling for Arsene to sign Sigurddsn and Dempsey last season. Now those very idiots are laughing at Siggy and Dempsey.
I've watched Ba plenty of times, hes exactly what Arsenal need. Giroud is a good striker but hes not going to get you 20+ goals a season. In his first season he scored 16 goals and has 11 goals already this season. Why isn't Arsenal his level?
Montpellier were far better than Newcastle? I doubt. Plus, it's not that relevant how good the team is more so the oppostion. And prem opposition is so much better than the French league.

Giroud scored 25 goals last season and bagged a few assists as well. I know it's a different league, but yeah...
Teams player open football against Newcastle, Ba gets a lot of chances. When you play for a top club and teams sit back against you and the pressure is on, it's different. Top teams don't always play to your strengths, you have to do things on your own sometimes, Ba can't do that.

Cisse is utter trash. Ba is a good player for the level he's playing at.

When Cisse was the focal point of Newcastle's attack and Ba was out wide, Newcastle were on fire. Now that they're both playing centrally to accommodate Ba, they look crap up front.
I dunno why Arsenal fans are so spoilt when it comes to signing players from midtable sides that would improve them.
It's not like they're blessed with talent. Beggars can't be choosers as the old saying goes.

Just because a player is better than what we've got, it doesn't mean we should sign him.
For example, Di Santo is better than Chamakh, it doesn't mean we should sign him.
Players like Demba Ba come and go, he's a good player for the level he's at, like Dempsey was, like Adam was, like Sigurdsson was, like Bent was.

The problem is they both want to play but are too similar to be accommodated in one team. Plus Cisse is badly out of form, missing chances he'd have scored drunk and with his eyes closed last season.
