We don`t need better players, we need a better squad with more options.
Looking at our bench today, there was nobody who could come on and change our style of play or offer anything different.
Sometimes against teams who just defend, plan A doesnt work, so plan B and C are needed.
What we need is a bit of luck, ie a penalty or two given or the ability to snatch winners with the last kick of the game, like United, City, Chelsea and Arsenal do on a regular basis. They must all earn at least a dozen points a year with injury time winners.

The point I'm making is we have struggled this season at home. Unless teams come on to us we are pretty much screwed. There is no one linking the centre mid and strikers. Dembele is too deep. The players we have can only do so much. Also it needs pointing out that for the last 2 or 3 years we haven't spent a penny, merely balanced the books. If we want to challenge we have to spend
Sgt Wilko, I completely agree.
like i said, we have 2 winnable games coming up over the xmas period and we are good enough to go to both villa park and stadium of light and pick up all 6 points which will then put us in an excellent position. I am disappointed but not angry with the result. It's another clean sheet and stoke are one fo the hardest sides in the league to break down so we are not the only ones. No excuses for Levy though who needs to get his bald f ucking a ss in gear for once and actually buy us a top quality striker in Jan, it's getting ridiculous now.
Well said as well Don. How many windows do we need to balls up before Levy realises what's happening. I'm not asking for him to bankrupt us and I know it's easier said than done, but we have to spend if we want to be in the top 4. Levy made a mess of last January's window so we'll have to wait and see.
Only way Levy will sign us a top striker for big money is if he sells Bale (which nobody wants to happen), it looks like Levy will continue to balance the books for a good while yet..... new stadiums dont come cheap unfortunately.
Need the win against Villa. Running out of games where we can make up points on last season.
I think everybody needs to calm down a bit, of the last six matches Spurs have won four drawn one and lost just the one, which was at Everton, which was thrown away. So let`s get a reality check fellas, we are above Chelsea, albeit they have games in hand, we are level with Arsenal and Everton, so what`s the problem.
u16555, Levy has f cuked up plenty of transfer windows mate with his penny pinching and failure to grab our targets early ie Mouinho, i don't think he will ever learn.
sandy, exactly mate......we are still on a very good run and we are still joint 3rd. Things looking good still
I'm not panicking sandy. I look at the game today and think that none of our top 4 rivals would have beaten Stoke either. Meanwhile I think we'd have beaten all the teams Everton, Arsenal and West Brom played.
