Tom Hanks in Philadelphia just sums up what a good actor he is, I even thought he was great in his stupid films like Bachelor Party.

Tom Hanks is another guy where I just don't get the hype.

Mibbe it's the name Tom.

Tom hanks just plays the same nice guy part over and over again.

Everyone likes him so it's hard to think he ain't a good actor.

Could not see him playing a bad guy though.

Kevin spacey can switch between any role brilliantly.

Mick, I can't say that I know Tom Hardy.

Tom hardy is fulfilling the 'action star' role at the min which has been long needed.

The rock and vin diesel were too much of a cliche.

Al Pacino is rubbish now. Doesn't act, just shouts allot.

Just checked Hardy's wikipage. he names his hero
who is noted by his absence on this thread. Gary Oldman.
This guy can act. Fekin great villain as well as a sympathetic character.

Gary Oldman, is that Mo from EastEnders brother?

Always remember that hooligan film he did where his wee baby takes his Stanley out his pocket and starts chewing it. Still gives me the shivers.

Going back a long way here, but how good was Gregory Peck?!?!

To kill a mocking bird, his role as Finch was unbelievable.

I don't get the appeal of Spacey

=============================

Just based on the range he has.

Can play brilliant bad guys or good guys, average joes or anything.

Just for The Usual Suspects he deserves a shout.

Peck was great in cape fear, and another great actor Nick Nolte played the same part in the remake.

=====================

Peck and Mitchum > Nolte and de niro.

Not a big fan of Nolte, always played the underdog to Eddie murphy.

I remember watching a film called The Million Pound note with Peck in it when I was a kid. Probably a load of tosh but I just remember being entranced by Peck in that film. Looked like a movie star.
