Pardew and Carver ganged up on the linesman in a blatant show of anger and intimidation yesterday. Will this filter down also so that Sunday league managers get help in giving verbals to the refs? Is this level of abuse acceptable? Or is it just not acceptable when its Fergie?
You can't blame Fergie for doing it.
If the referee had any backbone he'd have sent him to the stands.
And if the ref wasn't brave enough to do it, the FA should step in and touchline ban the feck out of him.
Until something like that happens, managers will keep trying to influence the ref, and I for one won't blame those who do.
Exactly the same with diving.
Pardew was the first to abuse the officials yesterday when he thought the Newcastle goal was being ruled out. If the 4th official had had a backbone he would have reported it to the ref and Pardew would have been sent to the stands.
Then we may not have witnessed the ugly scenes of Pardew and Carver ganging up in their abuse of the linesman later in the game.
I honestly cannot believe the level of hysteria since yesterdays game.
The thing that is strange is that, unlike diving, it's a problem easily fixed.
Imagine they banned the next manager to act like that, yelling and shouting and the ref or official, for 20 games. Problem solved.
Fergie was wrong, Pardew was wrong, the FA were wrong.
The end
I honestly cannot believe the level of hysteria since yesterdays game.
_______________
Its simple. We've had quite a few ref decisions go against us in recent weeks yet are still 7 points clear. So there must be some other conspiracy at work.

.....
I love it. You can tell we scored a last minute winner just by the reaction
People are acting like fergie pulled a sock out of his pocket, filled it with pool balls and beat the ref round the head with it, honestly, i've seen worse things in the queue at my local post office.
The F.A. WILL stamp down on Fergie this time and teach him a damn lesson by awarding some dubious decisions..
It's the only way he'll learn...

I hope they do stamp down on the dubious decisions that are going against us on a consistent basis. I also hope they stamp down on Pardew and his assistant for berating and intimidating the referee too. Only then will people learn there is no such thing as Fergie time, Manchester United getting only favourable decision etc...

He tells the fourth official how much time to add on ffs
Doesn't matter who the abusive player or manager is,, I was sighting Fergie as he's the best and should lead by example.
Id wager that even other Premier league managers including Pardew look to Ferguson for inspiration.

He tells the fourth official how much time to add on ffs
---------
- I need him to start learning when to tell the referee to blow the whistle. The agonising wait for yesterday after the whistle was blew in the 98th minute was to much!
I notice no-one mentioned perch's time wasting antics at the end.
Id wager that even other Premier league managers including Pardew look to Ferguson for inspiration.
...........
It's Fergie's fault that other managers berate refs
is it "pick on a pensioner day" today?????
It's Fergie's fault that other managers berate refs
--------
It's the manager being abusive's fault and then the FAs for allowing it.
But If you don't think other managers look up to and attempt to copy Fergie then you really are quite naive
I thought it was a goal although an error by Evans...had Cisse touched the ball then a NO!
But I can understand SAFs annoyance once it had been called a no-goal...he blew his top..normal, ennit? But it's over now...done, and should be forgotten.
I agree, refs do take too much abuse, albeit they do make some horrendous mistakes!
But If you don't think other managers look up to and attempt to copy Fergie then you really are quite naive
---------------------------------------------------
But if his behaviour is not good and other managers are still copying him who's being naive? Surely other managers are old enough and sensible enough not to copy someone who's doing the wrong thing?
Who's fault is it that SAF berates the ref then?
His own fault, he is evil.
...and I wonder why an Arsenal supporting is berating SAF so much...they all do it and Wenger is no saint!

Redknapp is in his 60's and Pardew has got to be in his 50's.
I wouldn't accept these excuses on AVB's behalf because he is a grown adult well into his 30's, trying to make them for men in their 50's and 60's is just embarrassing.

The lowly Sunday League ref will pay.
