It only seems like it's on the rise because Alex Salmond appointed himself to pass a law to subjugate football fans to an Orwellian freakshow. If Police are catching more crimes because of a new law, then obviously the amount of crimes will seem more.

thing is these days you can get a ban for farting in a football ground.

Henrik,

I dont buy this idea about it all being Salmonds doing.

We have the Rangers Ultra's actually releasing a statement stating that they stopped the police making an arrest and that some idiot started beating a drum loudly right next to a police horse.

Then at Celtics match, a 7 year old was punched in the face by an adult and there was mass fighting and someone was slashed in the face.

Sounds pretty grim!

Hooliganism is organised though, we cannot legislate for a few individuals from Celtic or Rangers being brainless idiots and then decide that it is hooliganism.

====================================

The idiots tend to be in the Union Bears or Green Brigade who have been organised officially into their own sections.

Ever since the clubs have done this, the things seem to be going downhill.

Its always been in football, that's what happens when you have a mass collection of men who are often drink. Football crowds have always been aggressive, its hardly new and its hardly getting worse

Football hooliganism is back!...Yip-ee-kia-ay mo fo!!!

Tribal warfare...CCS, Dundee Utility, The ASC...Funny that for all Glasgows 'No mean City' reputation, its casuals were always chumps.
Rangers casuals used to blend seamlessly with their beer-bellied normal support when it came to scrapping and Celtic boys where just cowards with limited support..

Football is tribal,so two tribes go to war nothing new about it,move along now, there's good chaps.
