Admittedly I don't know what the total is for other clubs
It'll definitely be a lot lower.
Definitely, lets not bother with actual stats, just presume and be outraged.
they know they get preferential treatment and just laugh about it
Doesn't make sense. That would mean United got on average 14 minutes added time per game

Oh I just did league matches for this season but still if you divide that amount by 38 you get 7 minutes per game
And they have played around 65 matches in 2012 which equates to 4 mins added time for each match. 1 min in the first half on average and 3 minutes on the second half on average. Perfectly normal.
It'll be one of those stats from the FA, the BBC, Sky and all those other ABU conspirator's.

Why are you looking at it logically?
I got it from the telegraph's 50 stats from 2012 article. some quite good ones in there.
Plus we would have been winning a lot of them games, so surely all that extra time is helping the other team?
No?
Does Fergie add this...or the ref in the middle?
Man City hold the record with 13 minutes at tue end of the game.
Felli, its been coined fergie time since the day when added time didnt exist and United got 8 mins to beat Southampton to win the title, from what I have been informed.
Simply looking at time added on is meaningless without looking at context.
Saying that, someone did post an article about injury time on the old 606 which was quite in-depth, and the disparity between the time added on when United were chasing a game and when they were winning was pretty noticeable.
A great example would be those 9 minutes added on time against Newcastle...
We were winning about a minute and a half into injury time so those other 6 and half minutes were very much not helpful to United.
Look at the majority of those other games, we were winning them as well. All this injury time has mostly been unhelpful to United as it would have been a chance to lose the lead we were currently holding...
Also a minute for the first half and 3 for the second is fairly standard time added on isn't it?
Fergie time was coined in a game against.Sheffield Wednesday.
So you were informed incorrectly.

If you're talking about the game against Sheff Wednesday, the referee was injured and play was stopped for 7 minutes.

Sounds like your talking rubbish to me...
You don't mean the Sheff Wed goal Steve Bruce scored about 6 minutes into injury time?
The referee was collapsed on the pitch for about that length of time. Or should they have just not given that time back to the fans and added it on the time for the game?
My friend thought the whole conspiracy originated from the final win over Bayern in 99. When asked for some proof of this he seemed to think added on time had been invented especially during that game for Manchester United...
Why are these ABU's so retar.ded?
At least if they came up with something clever it would give you a challenge but as it is they come up with the same crap time and time again. Bonus points for the first person to criticise Keane for ending Haaland's career.
im sure it was southampton but I may be mistaken I think steve bruce scored the winner? I saw it on a tv show of clips from the ages.

You mean Sheffield Wednesday, same stripes different colours
7 the arab that sounds right, from what I saw they made no mention of the ref being on the floor, in that case I retract my statement.
It was Wednesday....
I think Bruce scoring ensured every player in that starting 11 scored that season...
Or was that Adams for Arsenal at Highbury against us?
