Gone in the summer I reckon

There is normally no smoke without fire, but I doubt even Madrid will be able to afford the £100 million Levy will want for him.
Having said that Talksport and most of the newspaper journalists have a habit of making up 99 per cent of their stories. They tell more porkies than politicians.
He was really loyal to Southampton...
I'm a big fan of Bale, of course, but you've got to be realistic. Players move on to further their careers. If you were a professional footballer and had the chance to move from the 4th-5th best PL club to the biggest club in the world, Madrid, wouldn't you?
Why would Bale in all reality do what Modric is doing sitting on the bench. No way I reckon he will go yet. And be fair how many British players really make it abroad, hardly any. Not worth him wasting what could be a glittering career, on a move that may not be all it seems.

They've got to sort a manager and keep hold of CR7 first.. probably just the president trying to placate the fans.. or typical bored journo tripe.
"Poor Modric, knowing his luck, Real would send him back to us as part of the deal"
And Darth RDBD will tell Levy to loan him to Stoke.
I think a lot depends on how we as a club fare this season. I can't imagine him being unhappy earning 100k a week at 23 years of age, with CL football. Even without CL football his theoretical peak is still 4 or 5 years away, so i like to think that another 2 years at least at Spurs won't hurt him

Bale is 23, he has plenty of seasons ahead of him. He should move on in 2 or 3 more years when he is at his peak (for a royal ransom).
Levy should be preparing another new improved 5 year contract for Bale this summer imo
If we secure CL football Bale will most likely secure a new contract along with a few other players
If with CL, Bale will no doubt be offered further extensions.
If we get CL this year I reckon he'll stick around for a while longer, but I can see him leaving this summer if we miss out again
Agree with many others who say that if we don't get CL AND a team come up with enough cash (50m would easily do it for Levy I reckon - he is not quite Ronaldo level - yet) he will be gone this summer, and I wouldn't begrudge him, but I would be very sad
If a club doesn't match Levy's valuation then, unlike Modric, I don't think he'll throw his toys out the pram, so we have a chance of keeping him for a year or so
Might I suggest that a cup this year could be crucial in tipping the balance...
I don't think he will go this Summer, he seems happy.
CR is on his way apparently - the tax laws have changed in Spain and the club now have to pay 50% of his wages to the taxman, so they will be looking for lower wage players.
I agree with most on here, a couple of years and he will fly the nest, but he will be going for big money, Levy will hold a gun firmly to the buying clubs head.
Levy will stick an enormous transfer fee on Bale, and with the new Financial Ruels about to kick in, I doubt any team will be able to afford him anyway, so relax fellas. There is a financial reality check about to hit the prem.
Levy tax is <standard> .
Best players sold overseas appears to be the emerging <standard> (sorry Fergie - those days have gone - try the Library ) .

Who can afford Ronaldo apart from City and PSG, 2 clubs I can not see him being interested in playing for? He will resolve his contract issue with them eventually.
If we fail to secure CL then I fear that Bale will go in the summer.
another factor with bale is that because he's young, a substantial amount of his life has been spent at the club, and this is his only top flight club. there's bound to be a genuine bond there with the club, and whilst any player would want to take the chance to play for madrid or barcelona, he wont find it easy to leave.
