Argentina have a decent chance due to the fact they'll be used to playing in the conditions in Brazil just like they did in Mexico '86. This is all providing Messi is still playing at the same level. Unfortunately for SpainPuyol will have retired and Xavi and Iniesta will be well past their best.

Garay, Zabaleta and Rojo are good defenders. If they can produce another solid CB, they'll be in with a good shout.

Saint, you think Llorente is one of the top 10 strikers in the world. You should be ashamed
---

Llorente shouldn't even be in the top 30.

I know Samir.

Also, they don't really have any midfielders who can control a midfield and create from deep.

Polb, I'm with you on this one.

Kam, Zidane and Iniesta are magicians. But Zidane is David Copperfield and Iniesta is Paul Daniels.

------------------------------

They won the Euros - a harder tournament to win than the WC sans Puyol and with a marginal Xavi.

Iniesta will be a young 30!

As great as Iniesta, he was not in Zizou's class.

"I think Andrea Pirlo has the same sort of quality [as Lionel Messi.]" - Gianluigi Buffon

Gigi is must be a Liverpool fan. So deluded.

Im not disputing that. ZZ was in a class of his own but currently theres not many better than Iniesta.

Isco will replace Iniesta soon anyway.

poor Gigi, that's almost as bad as Kam thinking Iniesta has Zizou's class.

Isco will be a bench warmer for Spain forever Daz, you delusionist

Darren...your love affair with Isco is bordering on Kam's obsession with Iniesta

I still maintain Muniain is better than Isco - admittedly Muniain has regressed lately and IMO he needs to leave Bilbao to fulfil his potential.

Besides, Isco's position is occupied by D.Silva, Mata and maybe Cesc not iniesta.

posted on 30/12/12

I think Isco is better than Muniain and more talented than Mata.

ZZ was absolute class but he played a different style of game to Iniesta. his game was to create or score a la messi. iniesta is about ball retention and is almost telegraphic in his understanding with his compadre.
ZZ for me was the better player but it's almost bordering on disrespectful to the winner of the ballon D'or

I'd love Chris Eagles at Arsenal.

I was joking. Isco is a supremely talented player but he will find it difficult breaking into that side with the options they have.

Samir, I think they're pretty decent players with some good strengths. By no means world beaters but have potential to be effective strikers for Arsenal if used correctly.

To me, they look like the sort of players that would perform better in a 442, perhaps alongside eachother.

I think Isco is quality and could possibly sign for Barcelona.

He's more suited to Real than Barca imo...
