Tony Greig and now CMJ... RIP both
Sleep well guys.
more than a shame ffs.
CMJ's been with us all for a long time.
RIP
sorry bantam, didnt realise it was you. sad news man.
i will always remember CMJ for getting exciting and calling wickets which arent actually wickets
AND HE'S CAUGHT, THAT'S OUT, no it isnt. it didnt carry etc
CMJ
I always remember his voice on cricket Championship' or Cricket Champ Manager (forget the game title) when i used to play that - and for TMS as well of course. These days with SKY theres a lot of good commentary out there with the likes of Gower, Botham, Hussain and Warne etc. But CMJ had that distinctiveness which separated him from most
Sad day. Huge loss to the world of cricket.
RIP.
Sorry lads....??? CMJ...it doesn't ring a bell down under.
What's the full term of CMJ...?
it's interesting (and usrprising) you dont know him in australi, because since martin johnson died i suppose he's been as much the voice of cricket over here as anyone. as bantam says, very distinctive voice :
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/cricket/20881346
he was editor of the daily telegraph and editor of cricketer magainze, as well as being a leading member of the TMS team for probably 30 years.
nice guy. old school.
...correction, editor of cricketer magazine, and daily telegraph's cricket correspondent.
RIP CMJ, really sad day for cricket fans in england
A class act whose love of the game could be heard throughout his commentary's.
RIP CMJ
'since martin johnson died'
I think you mean Brian Johnston.
excellent tribute here from agnew :
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/cricket/20885201
and a vintage piece of commentary from when he must have been a fairly young man:

Really sad news. Very knowledgeable was CMJ.
For Rabbit:
CMJ = Christopher Martin-Jenkins
Cheers J.T.....The ABC cricket channel today did a kind piece of rememberence of CMJ and his voice came instantly to me....I just had a moment of not placing a name to the voice..A truly genuine professional in every form..
still cant believe CMJ's gone.
