i will always remember CMJ for getting exciting and calling wickets which arent actually wickets

I always remember his voice on cricket Championship' or Cricket Champ Manager (forget the game title) when i used to play that - and for TMS as well of course. These days with SKY theres a lot of good commentary out there with the likes of Gower, Botham, Hussain and Warne etc. But CMJ had that distinctiveness which separated him from most

it's interesting (and usrprising) you dont know him in australi, because since martin johnson died i suppose he's been as much the voice of cricket over here as anyone. as bantam says, very distinctive voice :

Cheers J.T.....The ABC cricket channel today did a kind piece of rememberence of CMJ and his voice came instantly to me....I just had a moment of not placing a name to the voice..A truly genuine professional in every form..
