I have a mate who works at the club and she said that he is on around 35 grand a week at QPR and that Wednesday were paying around a quarter of that during the loan. I hope we now look to use that money to bring someone in who can get some goals.

We couldn't find anyone as ineffective if we looked in the lower leagues in my opinion. For around 9k a week surely there is some player who could bang in 10-12 goals before the end of the season!

Id try a cheeky bid for Ricky Lambert but not a very likely possibilty, but also I think we need genuine pace up top and Id try my luck at Simeon Jackson or Marvin Sordell. Also, I hear people say Rodri isnt up to scratch but is there any wonder when DJ chose players like Betty ahead of him when the likes of Rodri and Maguire (although injured for a month or two) were hungary to get out there and prove themselves. For me its a shame that a kid from the Barca ranks (who have the best youth development anywhere in the world) dosnt even get a sniff, DJ banged on about managers from the prem ringing him up saying saying "how the f u ck did you manage to get him in" yet after a couple of not so good performances he was dropped and restricted to a bit part role, ironcally dropped for Betty who put in 1 decent performance in 3 months...and stayed in the team

Fair enough Rodri hasnt settled here and thats fair enough, not every player outside the british isles can settle but DJ shouldnt prolong the misery for him, either send him back home where he'll be happy or make him happy and give him another chance (then send him back if he still cannot adapt) coz surely keeping him out the team wont be helping him!

Marvin Sordell is a good shout Mega, I don't think he's playing much and was very good before he moved to Bolton.
One big plus from yesterday for me was the performance of K Lee, hope he gets a run of games now - easily my MOM for us.

C'mon poite, thats a tad harsh, ok so we dont know what goes off on the training ground but for me it was Betty keeping those two out due to DJ's blind faith in him, im convinced that they would have done far far better had they had more of a chance, personally I think they train as well as anyone there but its DJ's incompetance as a man manager thats ruining their development. Personally I'd send Rodders back to Barca as due to his homesickness he wouldnt be in the right frame of mind to do a job for us, and the last thing we need is a player who cannot adapt given our precarious position

Also in addition, can you imagine Betty giving his all on the training ground when he gave absolutely nothing on matchdays? Although we went on a 4 game unbeaten run without conceding, his decision making in all aspects this season (tactics, selections, formations and signings) has left me convinced that he is out of his depth but sadly MM is persevering with him and I too can see Sid staying and not many coming in, hope we get to keep helan though, on the left wing (not LB) he looks a good prospect but if DJ does make any signings then I pray to god he makes the right choices coz his record thus far leaves a hell of a lot to be desired and doesnt fill me with any confidence at all!!

With the exception of COG not starting in place of Big Mama (which is understandable given that he scored vs Bolton), I thought his selection yesterday was spot on.
Burnley were up there with the best we've had at S6 this season, so I'm not downhearted by it much at all.

I like to idea of Antonio playing more centrally but I belive he's been playing off Sid/ Madine lately but I'd like him to play him alongside the frontman and run onto through balls and use his pace to beat the last man, im sure he would score more if he got the opportunity to do that

I agree with prof in part, I've trawled through the team line ups over the last few matches and Jones has settled (By accident I assume?) on a 'sort of' line up of sorts.

He's still faffing around with the two forwards and attacking midfielders though. I think defensively we've been sound enough over the festive fixture period bar the pasting that Burnley dished out to us which could have been three, but Treacy was unlucky with the woodwork at the death IMO.

Jones has stumbled upon a good run of results that have unfortunately bought him more time at the helm. I think Gray can be given credit for ten points recently - not Jones.

Martin Taylor is the worst defender I have ever seen in a wednesday shirt. I thought Ashley Westwood had that spot covered but Taylor would make Westwood feel like we had an actual brick wall covering our goal mouth.

But I agree with you regarding Llera, If we let Llera go then we may as well call it relegation in that case, we'd only have two CB's (well effectively one as Taylor is utter toilet) and what with DJ's track record Llera's replacement will surely be another un-inspired choice, not very hopeful at all if im honest. I for one is very very worried about who he will bring in (i.e. Sid on a perm deal , try and bring Betty back or a load more 30 something has beens/never beens/crocks and who he'll turf out i.e. Madine, COG, Llera

Regarding hoofball et al, given our current position it would make sence to win ugly than play well and lose...which we have done too many times this season, how would I love Meggy back right now...wont happen though...will it?
