Murphy or Goodwillie

I agree Templeton, looks to have great potential and is the best young Scottish player I have seen in a while. Would like to see him at Celtic.

I would chose Murphy over Goodwillie. The problem
is the step up, a lot of good young players have had
their careers stall at Ibrox and Parkhead for one reason
or another. Would we see them fulfil their
undoubted potential or fade away and end up at a
mid table Championship side in 2/3 years.

Is this Murphy of Motherwell we're talking about? No thanks, not good enough as far as I'm concerned.

I would take Goodwillie. If we don't get him I hope he goes to England.

I would choose Goodwillie personally based on football ability, but really dont think he is the platyer we need right now - as he is too similar to Hoops/Stokes.

Dont really think that a move for Murphy is all that important right now, and really cant see him playing much.

Templeton is the best of the bunch - but is obviously a left winger, and we have plenty of players in that position.

I wouldn't have minded someone like Sutton as a back up striker and target man.

Maybe we should look at Connor Sammon who was excellent in the spl and hasnt played much for Wigan since his move. He left for £600k so surely transfer fee and wages would be no issue?

None of the above.
Will Goodwillie be cup tied for Europe?

Would prefer to get rid of the dead-wood and look for a technically gifted European centre forward like big Jellyfish. Would have to pay at least 3m though.

mordor - not cup tied for champ league. Not sure bout europa.

I would take any of the 3 young scots mentioned. All outstanding talents.

"a technically gifted European centre forward like big Jellyfish."

Sorry mate, but I strongly disagree with that interpretation. The only accurate part was the 'European' assignation.

Templeton is the poorest of the three mentioned, and he's coming up for 23 aswell.

Goodwillie is a good player, but for the baggage he carries £2million is over priced.

I'd happily take Murphy for £1million. Best of all three players, and he's the youngest.

I was asking during the pre-season if we should have gone for John Sutton who is now at Hearts. But if we're being honest Daryl Murphy would probably get the same amount of goals as Sutton would if he were at another SPL team.

If we're talking about goals here, then Stokes was a steal at £800,000! Much better scoring record than anyone in the SPL and he's still quite young aswell.

Don't buy into all the hype around the other players. The scottish media will talk them up as much as possible because they are scottish, which is fine. It happens in every country.

Wouldnt be gutted if we brought in Murphy from Motherwell for £1million. But I'd rather we went and spent a decent amount on a quality striker just now. Not one with potential.

not in a million years would i touch goodwillie...

I actually know some people with very close utd ties and have 'some' info on him and i wouldnt want him near CP.

guy is a complete liability..whether he gets knuckles rapped just now from the court is irrelevent...

he will always court media attention for all the wrong reasons.

100% want rangers to sign this guy...purely for the comedy moments that will always pop up.

would have stokesy all day long, every day of the year over the thick cant fae utd.
