Yes. Who does he think he is? Although maybe he'll go on to be the next Henry (he won't, but maybe he'll prove it was worth the extra cyyyaaaassshhhh just to get the contract signed)
I think his agent has to realise that its better to be a big fish in a smaller pond than a small fish in tank full of sharks at Man City or Chelsea.
I know our management team don't have the best record in terms of contracts recently, but it isn't all their fault that it has got this far. Do you seriously think they didn't at least try to talk to him in the last 12-18 months? They can't force him to sign something or even talk to them.
Seriously, the current situation is EXACTLY what his agent/advisors would have hoped for. Even RVP leaving in Summer added leverage to Walcott's position.
Like most Gooners, I want Theo to stay..........

Actually having heard most players recently, including, Sagna, Song, RVP, Nasri, yes! The directors didn't!
In fact Wenger himself said so last year, when he suggested that RVP, Song and Theo's contracts need to be sorted. Thats why people got the impression, wrongly at the time, that Song only had a year left!
The players obviously voiced their worry to Wenger but the senior management haven't talked about renewing contracts.

Granted, Theo is more valuable to us than we would previously readily admit, and we may not have been active enough in our efforts to tie him down, and may have overlooked simple, sensible demands like playing him as a striker, since he plainly isn't a winger. But he needs to know where the tipping point is. We know what he wants and so does he, so holding us to ransom would be stupid. He should know better than anyone that a hard shot often scores, but if you put your laces through it with too much gusto, you'll blast it into the stands.
