Has he still dropped Casillas over his ego?! I understand why it was done but get over it!
Clearly craves a move back to England

Paul Ince ?
Casillas, who many claim to be the worlds best keeper, dropped.
Shows how much football people actually watch, and how much the media influence the masses.
Busby
I dont think he was dropped due to his form. Mou is trying to make a point. What that point is I am not sure...
He is still very prone to errors. People think De Gea is rubbish at dealing with crosses then call Casillas the best keeper in world football in the same sentence, you couldn't make it up.
Wasnt dropped due to form
I rate Casillas very highly, he is very similar to De Gea in that he is unbelievable at shot stopping and has a great kick on him. He does seriously struggle with balls in the box but he deals with them a hell of a lot better than De Gea does.
He parrys the ball back into his own box a lot aswel. He is a great keeper, but to compare him to the likes of Buffon in his prime or VDS in recent years is off the mark. If he hadn't played for Madrid since his younger days he wouldn't be so highly rated.
Though, admittedly I haven't seen much La Liga this season.
Some of Casillas' performances last year were some of the best goal keeping performances I have ever seen (admittedly I was a bit too young to fully appreciate Schmeichel). He has been gash this year though :/ I think its acceptable to compare him to Buffon and the late VDS, he is a top goalie!
Just watching the game, they have a worst defence than us
De Gea is more than fine coming out for crosses now. It's an aspect of his game that has improved dramatically over the past 12 months, albeit the media attempt to pretend otherwise. Great progress.
I've always rated Cassilas, to be fair, although I haven't watched an awful lot of La Liga this season so it could very well be due to poor form. Like Busby said, he's never been great with crosses in the mould of a Van Der Sar. I put that down to what they are used to. Not many Andy Carroll's playing in Spain...

People look for any excuse to berate De Gea with. I still find it hilarious after all the talk about how awful he id with physical sides, he was our best player against Stoke at Old Trafford. Our defenders struggled more than he did that day!
I think it was 2 or 3 seasons ago Casillas was incredible, week in week out making mind boggling saves but this season he has definitely dropped in form.
The guy has won absolutely everything there is to win in football, maybe it's a case of him finding it hard to motivate himself these days.
