In fairness, this is normally my response to what my favourite football team is aswell. It saves the embaressment
I do the same...little good it does though, they seem to know which team im refering to
I liked 'Rock Me Amadeus' decent pop tune.
Usually people ask what team I support and my answer is followed by "Wednesday? What league are they in now?"
I usually get a patronising smile, the kind used by adults when a child has said something foolish but quaint.
When people come to my office, I clock them when they see my 'Wednesday Legends' mug.
It creates that awkwardness that you get the first time you see someone after they've lost a relative.
The 'how are you coping'? attitude.
I do love Wednesday and Ill support them through anything but I refuse to sing the "we're by far the greatest team the world has ever seen" song. I just cant bring myself to do it. Never has a song been more wrong. Its abit like hearing Christina Agulera sing that song about been beautiful, no matter what you are whiles shes covered in tar-thick makeup to cover up her car crash looking face.
I understand your sentiments Poite, but there is part of me that does believe that line.
And ... just putting this out there ... I definitely would Ms Aguilera

I'd use my own sausage on Christina and not a hertz one.
She looks like the type who'd encourage both tbh

...each to us own I guess
Does she live in Barnsley these days?
Well even Sparty would think twice, even if she was his sister...reminds me of Claire from Steps as well, a right porker nowadays
she does look like she's sticky to the touch, I'll give you that.
You lot are far too picky. She'd get it from me, as would Claire from Steps and Vanessa Feltz. All at the same time. Do any of you gentlemen subscribe to 'Closet' magazine?

I don't, but as a publication it looks like it has some informative and challenging articles for the target readership.
