i'd rather keep camp than go for green he can't get into the QPR side some auld fella is keeping him out or the reject from arsenal IMO what about westwood of sunderland much better than the 2 keepers mentioned

Well can't be any worse than Camp at the moment, with his confidence and attitude it's obvious he doesn't want to be here, let him go. I'd rather have a keeper who needs a second chance and maybe this could be a good move, sorry to see Camp go, he has been good for us.

ye he was rev but IMO he lost an awful lot of confidance average at best
maybe a change might do green wonders i hope your right rev jeez they must be better out there

in mcleish we(I) trust

It's a risk signing Green but he's potentially a real quality keeper. Camp is gone by the sounds of it.

Green is a class keeper, wrongly judged on a few mistakes. Was only ousted at QPR by a really good keeper. I'd be very happy if this happened but I doubt it will.

Green would be my last choice to replace Camp but I'd be happy to be proved wrong

i'd rather kieran westwood myself. younger with more hunger. i still would take green but his wages must be pretty hefty. i don't want us to become another qpr by signing all these rejects on big wages who used to be good. we need a sustainable future!

philo
i'm saying that the last few days westwood would be my number one choice

Green on loan is OK by me - probably on a par with Camp. Might not be a long term solution. I'd prefer a keeper on the way up rather than on the way down.

Boyatta would be a good signing.

This season is now a Write-off in my opinion, we're not going anywhere and will probably finish about 12-15th. So we need to be looking at next season and make (or plan to make) permanent signings and decide on some of our fringe players. I would like to see Darlow, Moloney, Lascelles given a few games to prove themselves to the manager

I'm not sure how the season is a write off.

Here we are with a good squad, being linked to international footballers, it's likely we'll bring in 4/5 players we're a few points off the playoffs. Fair enough none of us wanted McLeish but he has a good record at this level. But still so many are doom and gloom.

We're in a good position. Since SOD was sacked everyone's gone a bit barmy. He wasn't even that good. This should be an exciting time for Forest fans.

If anyone replies I know they'll use words like "stability" and "build", "time" blah blah blah. It does happen that a manager comes in injects a bit something in to a squad, gets them playing and they go on a great run. That's all we need really. It happens a fair bit.

But Green is understood to want to stay in the Premier League and told talkSPORT: "This is the first I've heard about Nottingham Forest. I don't know anything about it."

Ha! All perfectly clear then!

Sutton, I agree with your comment that a new manager often has a beneficial effect but it hasn't happened this time. I know it is only two games and it is too early to judge. I said when he came that he had until the Derby game to win the fans over; I think that is still the case.

After the Leeds game we were a point off the play-offs. We have gone backwards since then with in my opinion poor team selections, poor tactics, poor motivation, poor morale. The Chairman and Manager have since gone. Camp and Hutton have left and not been replaced; Collins is now suspended; Guedioura is in Africa; Reid is injured. Thats half the team that beat Leeds missing for the Posh game and pssibly the one after. If we get any points from those games I'll be happy enough in the circumstances.

I fear there is a lot more going off than we are aware off. The club seems to be in 'Meltdown'

I am genuinely more pessimistic now than when Cotterill was manager. We need some good news, and not just a little, and we need it soon

Sorry mate but I think that's a ridiculous thing to say.

In two games time we could be in meltdown.

Kind of thing I'd say, sutton.

I'm not going to offer an opinion though, because I haven't got a clue what's going on at Forest.

Just like your chairman and manager.

We've lost one league game under McLeish . Just seen we've bid for Chris Burke who'd be a top signing. Being linked with good keepers there's not a lot wrong.

It's all very melodramatic.

I agree Chris Burke would be a good signing. Remember him causing problems for us when he was at Cardiff. But I think BCFC have turned us down on that one. Still I'd like us to make them an offer they can't refuse.

And it has actually reminded me that BCFC are probably in more trouble than we are.

Why are we suddenly in trouble?
We have exchanged a manager who has won nothing to appointing the most successful manager we have ever appointed.
We are within 2 wins of the play offs and have money to spend.
I despair sometimes with 'fans'!!

If you sign them, sutton, then you are probably right - but being linked to a player who says "First I've heard about it" is just paper talk.

I agree that Burke would be a very good signing and would give Forest some pace and width. The only width they have at the moment is that between Andy Reid's hips.

Apart from Steve McLaren, of course. You're right, Strett, it's wise to stick with the template that has been so successful in the past.

OOE we signed the likes of Cox and Lansbury, Sharp on loan in the summer. All deals that looked unlikely, that other clubs wanted and wed never have got under the last owner. I see no reason why we shouldn't Burke. Green maybe not as he's on big money, but who knows.

Strett

I don't understand where some are coming from.

Erm, what about Dave Bassett? Didn't he have a couple of promotions under his belt by then? What about Ron Atkinson - did he win the FA cup with Utd and a league cup or two with Villa? And surely Brian was more successful than McLeish when we appointed him - he had won the league for example!
