Do you ever predict anything other than a Peterborough win? You must be wrong a lot of times

Sounds about right to me Thorney; by the way we have also signed Gonzalo Jara from the baggies. At least we have enough for a back four now.

Possible Forest Team:

Darlow
Moloney Ward Halford Jara
Majewski Gillett McGugan Lansbury
Blackstock Sharp

Evtimov Harding Moussi Cox etc

It would be good to dream of a Sharp hat trick on Friday night

Sharp's your danger man. If he's on form, you stand a very good chance of winning. As for my frequent Posh win predictions, I am regularly disappointed but occasionally surprised - E.g. our recent wins against Cardiff and Bolton. Gayle was cup-tied last Saturday and is back, so he should prove a handful and a goal-scorer. The icing on the cake would be the return of his attacking partner, Tomlin, but he remains suspended.

I might dream about Kimberly Walsh on Friday night Webbo; doesn't mean much come Saturday afternoon though does it?

Forest should win this comfortably. Peterborough are a poor side but have been on a mini-revival. I expect a win and there is a bit of pressure on McLeish to get three points.

Peterborough have only ever beaten Forest at The City Ground once so a bit of research is needed there.

I like Peterborough, but I have to say I hope we thrash them just so we can get one over on Adrian Durham - the man is a wind up merchant and really gets on my nerves.

I don't think it will be a comfortable win, Boxer. Bearing in mind the apparent calamitous position we seem to find ourselves in at the moment, I would just be happy fielding a side that is not utterly humiliated!

Peterborough are on a mini-revival at the moment, but they seemed to have played their best when they have played against the better footballing teams. On the basis that we probably aren't going to be one of them (at least for a while) may be this will go in our favour!

You are right, though, about the pressure on McLeish! Buckle-up. I have a feeling we are in for a bumpy old ride!

FFS sph ... are you hoping your post gets an Oscar nomination or summit? The words calamitous and humiliated in the same senntence .. no need to be so dramatic!

I for one am pleased that AM is ringing the changes. Camp is a petulant idiot, and the way he has behaved is completely out of order. NFFC pay his wages, so he should play to the best of his ability. He hasn't done this for a long time now.

The two defenders we have brought in are both good quality, and will help shore up our decimated defence for the rest of the season hopefully.

I'll go for a draw on Saturday. Posh are in good form but hopefully we'll be more settled with the new additions

I need to stop being so melodramatic and man-up a bit!
3-1 The Reds. Sharp, the Comedy Chilean fella and the 'just to be signed' stella addition!!

On a side note, Redfor50years, shouldn't it now be 51 (soon to be 52) or did you stop supporting Forest for a year?

posted on 10/1/13

Original, thank you for caring.

It's more than that; I saw my first game in about 1957 but it would seem a bit of a faff to change it and 50 is more of a landmark don't you think.

Redfor50yrs? You deserve a medal.

Why are people getting so carried away talking about calamitous situations? SOD wasn't as great as some think and whilst his sacking was a bit premature, it was probably inevitable, be it in January or end of the season. We have a manager with a great record at all but one club, which was doomed from the start. Whilst he wouldn't have been my first choice I will get behind him. We are a few points off the play-offs and have a nucleus of players who have won promotion from this league before in Sharp, Cox, Lansbury, Ward and now Jara. We have one of the best forward lines in the league and a wealth of decent CMs - a couple of wide players and another defender will transform this team. Camp has been off his game for a long time now and probably caused problems behind the scenes. We don't need people like that here, so it's best to get rid. We have wealthy owners who aren't afraid to make bold decisions - no-one will win anything for being nice, so let time be the judge. We will make 2 or 3 more additions and will have a good chance of finishing in the play-offs, so it's really not all that bad. A lot of clubs would happily swap positions with us.
Forest to win 3-1.

Considering that you have won only one game more than us, the same could be said for yourself,

GUESS THE GOALIE - a new and exciting competition for all Forest fans (who may wish to phone a Derby fan to avoid passing).

Who will be trying to stop our shots Saturday?

posted on 11/1/13

Thorney - post your question on the derby board - they know so much about our club!

1-1 Draw, BTW.

posted on 11/1/13

1-1 - I'd be happy with that. Not sure a Derby fan would be, though

Ah, but do you predict a win for Forest tomorrow?

posted on 11/1/13

I'll stick my neck out and predict a Forest win, though my blind loyalty has been tested lately and Posh did win at Cardiff. There's also the prospect of George Boyd coming back to haunt us again...

But if the manager gets his selection right and we can play as a team (haven't done for more than brief spells this season) we should be able to shade it at home,
