No I see your point BUT its not quite as simple as that. Ade has proven he can be a top player for Spurs and people think now that he has secured his contract he has slacked off. AVB was a risk but most people were willing to give him a chance to prove himself.

If someone gets paid lots but does not perform and the team struggle then you can question his performances

If he's not performing but the team is winning, you can allow it

I didn't mind him signing, I only wish we had signed another better striker, as you know inevitably with Adebayor that he is half lazy and half good, and any great form will not last.

I know we signed Dempsey but he is clearly not that 'better' striker. I wanted a marquee striker signing.
