If no then it needs improving.

Captain, I apologize up front for my next comment but, they could also look at Nunez (who I bleeping love) and say "The bloke is brilliant. He has to start. Wonder if SG will actually give him the chance this time around?"

I have this feeling that they, as players, see it the way the fans do, some are ultra positive, some ultra negative, some down the middle. Again, human nature. It all feels unsettled right now. Too much could still happen. Good and bad.

Well first off nunez and clayton are unproven. kisnorbo is unproven in years at this level and could be injury prone. Brown is 34 and will not get around like younger players would and injuey at his age will come. So i ask what if they are bad?

We have not retained gradel and snoddy because there is still 30+ day to go. Bid can come at any time. 9 teams are after max and at least 2 snodey.

Not being negative just looking at it in a real way.

Blue, you're right Nunez is not proven at this level.
He's proven at the International level. Which trumps it. The lad is a stud. And given the chance in the starting
11 will run rampant.

I accept that we could buy decent players with the money we should receive for for both players if they were to be sold, but I maintain that keeping them both is the best option. We should be improving on the squad with these two in it.

He plays for Honduras that has never been proven. There is no pressure playing for them what so ever.

Doing it at elland road on a regular basis at this level where fans are expecting and demanding big things is not the same thing as doing it for Honduras.

Am not saying he will be bad because he looks promising but with the way fans talk him up, so much pressure is being put on him all ready.

Blue, are you extracting the urine?

Playing for any country is big. Honduras might not mean much to most. But, that's a Central American country that loves the game. He's played in games against solid International competition and played very well. He's just fine playing at this level. All he needs is his manager to see that too.

Honduras P 1 - 1 P Ecuador
Korea Republic 4 - 0 Honduras
China PR 3 - 0 Honduras
Honduras 2 - 2 El Salvador
Honduras 0 - 0 Guatemala
Grenada 1 - 7 Honduras
Honduras 0 - 1 Jamaica
Costa Rica P 1 - 1 P Honduras
Honduras E 0 - 2 E Mexico

Inever said it was not big but t is not the same. There last 9 games. They do not look the best do they? How many other players do you know from Honduras in english football? Am sure there are a few but Just because he can play for them does not mean he will make it at this level.

Way to much hope being put into Nunez for me. If he turns out to be no good who do we have as back up........

Not just him but all over the team.

Honduras FIFA world Ranking 51 - Wales FIFA world ranking 112
Your argument is pointless Blue as just on that alone they are miles better than the Welsh and yet the Welsh team has had stars in it that have lit the world up (Giggs for a start) and could walk through this league.
You are jumping at the fact he is an international for a "lesser known team" and that doesn't count towards anything.
Suppose you could be right on the unproven part but Gradel was unwanted before he came to us and couldn't get in the team, Becchio was seen as not good enough for this league and so on and so forth.
Plenty of For and Against arguments but there is just no balance to anything you say.

Giggs is retired from international football and the FIFA world Ranking means not a lot. England are the 6th is that true? Hmmmm

It is like you are trying to say because he plays international football for Honduras that means he will not fail here.......

If we had a solid team it would be ok. But we do not. It looks like he has turned into a main player all ready......

You see, that is the exact response I was expecting Bluememe (either that or "it was a one off" ) because it doesn't fit your argument.
Here's an idea, just let it go that your point of view "might" not be the only one and may in fact not be right at all.
I am not saying he wont fail because he is an international, nowhere has that been said (although it has been implied by you quote "He plays for Honduras that has never been proven. There is no pressure playing for them what so ever" ) but your point was that he had played international football for a lesser, unchallenged national team and playing for LUFC is more pressured and a higher level and that doesn't hold water, not when viewed from any other angle but your own!!
Nunez may play well, he may not. Snoddy may have a nightmare season, so may any other player on the books!

What he said

When you keep a player that you sign for money, that’s as positive as when you bring a new one in or sell somebody.

How you worded it

Apparently not selling a player for a fee is like signing a new player.
So according to Bates we have turned down cash bids for Gradel and Snoddy so we have 2 new players.

Can you explain that one please?

You guys are better than me,until I see more of Nunez I am not able to judge him and indeed any player.

Bluememe gets abuse for wanting rid of Grayson, and now people are arguing against him when he's essentially supporting Grayson's lack of trust in Nunez.

It's truly incredible on here.

ken bates is an idiot lining his own pockets and holding out for a big sale he has no interest in moving the club forward gonna be difficult times supporting leeds if we ended up in the premier league it would be a credit the the manager, players and fans

yorkshirehero - if batesy gets richer from Leeds United it will be a good thing for us. Why would he have any intention of scre wing us over? The only way he can make loads of money is if we were in the premiership or even europe. And thats were i want leeds to be.

posted on 29/7/11

i think the problem is squady is that he can make his money as leeds are, without them progressing further. What i mean is that he wont invest to get us further because it would be a financial risk if it didnt work so I feel it will be difficult for Leeds to progress further
