Such an awful, awful game. Also, there was one with some sort of egg that had a face and arms and legs, can't remember it's name.
Gunsmoke on the NES was also a hit!

World Championship Athletics (I think that was what it was called..) on the Spectrum. All I remember is a dodgy green screen and smashing the space bar while trying to win the 800m!
Nonnymus, sounds like your talking about Dizzy. They made quite a few games with him.
I used to love playing those games on my commodore 64 and I even had one that made it to the megadrive.
haha Chips Challenge I remember that, and his famous catch phrase:
"Bummer"
------------------------------------------------------------
First game I ever played was probably Aladdin on the Sega Mega Drive
think it was Pokemon Red-brings back so many memories!
my parents were pretty strict about video games tbh
My parents were strict too, once I started working I bought a PS1 and kept it hidden under my bed, could only play at night times.
Didn't Duck Hunt come with Super Mario Bros? So, you played that before Mario?
Good going, fight the machine!
Diggerl
first ps2 we got remember my parents limited us to 1 hour a day on it. they'd take the controllers away to stop us abusing the system but didn't realise we'd smuggled another controller which we kept hidden from them! my parents would walk away with the 2 controllers satisfied that they;d been doing their duty limiting the time we spent on it, lol
First ever game I played was Daley Thompson Decathlon on the Spectrum. A complete joystick smasher if ever there was one.
The first football management game I played. Far superior to todays games I'm sure you'll agree:

An egg with a face - how dare you dis dizzy like that! First game i remember playing is Roland on the ropes for my Amstrad
The first game I can remember the name of was Space Invaders, although I'm sure there were ones before it.
@blueboy,
It was my mates so we spent the afternoon playing Duck Hunt. I didnt play any Mario games until I got my Gameboy years later.
I think you can get Dizzy: Prince of Yolk Folk on Android and Ipad now.
FIFA 98 and Spyro the Dragon on Ps1
Some mickey mouse game and a Crash bandicoot game on the PS1.
Jet Set Willy - Maybe not the first but certainly one of them!
Kick Start as well - Loved this game, making my own courses was great fun!
Fantasia on the Mega-PC was another early one.
Did anyone else ever have a Mega-PC? It was a basic PC but had a MegaDrive cartridge insert.
Diggler, never even heard of that one never mind have it! Crazy.
I'd not heard of the Mega-PC but it certainly sounds like something Sega would have done.
There is a ton of iterations of the Mega Drive.
For me it could have been one of many games from the Amiga. Maybe Pinball Dreams, Cannon Fodder or Lotus Turbo Challenge 2....
